What you'll do...
Walmart Cross Border is seeking an experienced Manager to own Onboarding Operations for our fast-paced, cross-border operation.  The responsibility of this leader will encompass all aspects of Onboarding Operations, ranging from day-to-day operations, driving process excellence, and managing future planning. The primary objective is to provide exemplary service to our sellers as the first step they encounter when onboarding onto our program.  Your goal is to ensure they have a seamless onboarding experience, free from any frustrations, and can swiftly begin transacting with our program .  You will leverage your operations, program management, and people management experience to identify business areas of opportunity and work to streamline procedures.  Successful candidates will be natural self-starters who are comfortable with ambiguity and change, highly detail oriented, adept problem-solvers, and focused on driving results.   will use your superior communication skills, flexibility, professionalism, and business acumen to efficiently lead Onboarding Operations.

  • Leading your team - You are an experienced people manager and are adept at driving results through your team.  You determine process issues and barriers your team faces and drive solutions to unblock their roadblocks.
  • Managing the Seller Onboarding Process – Work with operations, product, and program teams cross-functionally within Walmart to drive efficient onboarding operations, determining areas of opportunity, and driving them to closure
  • Thinking Big – You understand the onboarding process, trends and how they relate to our program growth goals.  You anticipate sellers’ expectations and exceed them.  
  • Moving fast – Work in an agile and iterative team environment. 
  • Driving effective change management – Standardize and lead change management process, ensuring your team is operating efficiently and compliantly.
  • Communicating change and progress – Create and consolidate communications for internal and external audiences in your space.  
  • Working cross-functionally and across multiple locations – Communication, collaboration, and organization are key to your success. You will provide leadership for cross-function teams to deliver on your strategy across business, product, tech, support, and operational organizations.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain, economics, finance, or related area
  • 4+ years’ experience in Program Management, eCommerce Operations & Analytics or related field 
  • 2+ years people management managing a team of 2+ direct reports

Provides supervision and development opportunities for associates by hiring and training; mentoring; assigning duties; providing recognition; and ensuring diversity awareness.

Ensures compliance with company policies and procedures and supports company mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity by implementing related action plans; utilizing and supporting the Open Door Policy; and providing direction and guidance on applying these in executing business processes and practices.

Analysis and Reporting: Assesses retail partner performance across multiple dimensions (e.g., sales, profitability, fulfillment/operations, service). Conducts ongoing analysis of pipeline progress and future opportunities.

Account Strategy Development: Leads all sales and business-case development activities for small-to-mid sized retailers. Develops account segmentation and priority recommendations for a low-to-moderately complex category. Collaborates with retail and distributor partners to develop actionable account plans. Leverages and integrates ongoing analysis of pipeline progress and future opportunities to develop business strategies.

Relationship and Account Management: Serves as a key point of contact between the organization and small-to-mid-sized retailers. Develops KPIs for a low-to-moderately complex category to improve purchase order reconciliations, recall procedures and associated processes and tools. Determines new optimal retailers/brands to improve product breadth, margin and sales for a low-to-moderately complex category. Develops and maintains responsibility for a retailer/brand target pipeline. Designs and executes processes that will drive continuous improvement and growth of partner-facing operations and services. Promotes the brand, acting as a trusted advisor and ensures long-term, mutually-beneficial relationships. Provides input into self-service support strategy based on knowledge of support analytics for a low-to-moderately complex category.

Partner Orientation and Integration: Promotes Walmart's value proposition to team and internal/external contacts. Sources and closes relationships with low complexity and determines the best way for the retailer to connect with Walmart. Understands and communicates integration requirements.

Performance Optimization Action Planning: Develops action plans and engagement strategies to improve performance for partnerships for a category with low-to-moderate complexity.

Collaboration: Collaborates with cross-functional managers and teams to assess/analyze performance and ongoing pipeline for retailers and brands in a low-to-moderately complex category. Collaborates with Category Managers to identify gaps (e.g., assortment/mix) for a low-to-moderately complex category.

People Development: Builds and leads a team to execute on business area or category objectives. Coaches team members and provide feedback to enhance skills, knowledge and work performance. Have performance and career development conversations. Maintains team motivation and engagement. Mentors Partnership Specialists.

The annual salary range for this position is $84,000.00-$156,000.00
