Position Summary

We are seeking a Software Product Manager to lead product lifecycle management (PLM) and new product introduction (NPI) activities for qPCR software solutions within our Genetic Sciences Division. In this onsite Singapore-based role, you will partner closely with engineering, R&D, program management, and commercial teams across a large global matrix organization.

You will own the software product lifecycle—from early concept definition, requirements development, and roadmap planning to sustaining engineering, enhancements, and end-of-life decisions. You will also play a critical role in NPI execution, ensuring products meet customer needs, align with business goals, and are successfully launched into the market.

Key Responsibilities

Product Lifecycle Management (Primary Focus)

  • Lead the end-to-end lifecycle of qPCR software products, including roadmap updates, sustaining activities, improvements, and retirement planning.
  • Monitor product performance, customer feedback, and adoption metrics to drive iterative enhancements.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to prioritize defect resolution, feature updates, and usability improvements.
  • Ensure product documentation, release notes, and support materials remain accurate and current.

New Product Introduction (NPI)

  • Collaborate with R&D, Program Management, and Instrument Product Management to drive NPI activities for qPCR software.
  • Translate customer needs and VOC insights into actionable product requirements, specifications, and acceptance criteria.
  • Support validation, readiness activities, launch planning, and cross-functional alignment to ensure successful commercialization.

Customer & Market Insight

  • Collect and analyze VOC from customers, field teams, and internal stakeholders to understand priority needs and workflow pain points.
  • Evaluate market trends, competitor offerings, and technology developments relevant to qPCR software.
  • Champion customer experience throughout the development cycle.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work effectively within a large, matrixed organization, influencing without direct authority.
  • Coordinate closely with engineering, quality, operations, regional commercial teams, and global partners.
  • Provide clear communication, regular status updates, and issue escalation as needed.

Go-to-Market Enablement

  • Support development of product positioning, value propositions, and customer-facing materials.
  • Contribute to sales training, launch readiness, and post-launch performance analysis.

Required Qualifications

  • BS/MS/PhD in Life Sciences, Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related field.
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in software product management or technical product roles.
  • Proven experience managing product lifecycle activities and supporting new product introductions.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills across technical and commercial environments.
  • Demonstrated ability to gather VOC, define requirements, and drive cross-functional alignment.
  • Experience operating in a highly matrixed organization.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Background in software development, digital systems, or scientific/analytical software.
  • Understanding of qPCR workflows, molecular biology, or related laboratory processes.
  • Experience with product launches, roadmap planning, and portfolio management.
  • Ability to work with urgency, manage multiple projects, and deliver measurable results.
