Heroku, the leader in cloud application platforms, is looking for a Program/Project Management Analyst to join the team. This hybrid role requires a balanced approach to managing financial and operational aspects of business programs while ensuring clear communication and alignment between finance and business operations teams.

Responsibilities

  • Budget Management & Financial Oversight
    • Develop, track, and report on org budgets, ensuring adherence to financial plans.
    • Collaborate with finance teams to forecast and track financials, including costs, resources, and revenue projections.
  • Headcount and Resource Management
    • Track and report on staffing levels, ensuring appropriate allocation of talent across Heroku org
    • Work closely with HR and department heads to ensure efficient resource utilization and address any headcount issues or gaps.
  • Project Financials & Business Impact Analysis
    • Evaluate the financial viability of projects, assessing potential ROI and impact on business operations.
  • Reporting and Data Analysis
    • Partner with Finance and prepare regular financial and operational reports, providing insights into performance, risks, and trends.
  • Business Operations Project & Program Management
    • Lead and coordinate cross-functional business operations projects and programs to ensure successful delivery on time and within budget.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration
    • Work closely with finance, HR, and operations teams to ensure alignment between financial planning, staffing, and business operations
    • Collaborate with senior leadership to set priorities and define strategies for business operations and financial management.


Requirements

  • 3+ years of budget, finance, and project management experience
  • Understanding of budgets, resource allocation, and financial tracking
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets skills (formulas, data cleansing, data manipulation)
  • Ability to manage multiple projects/ programs from idea through execution
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team environment, often under minimal supervision
  • Ability to prepare reports, presentations, and documentation for internal and external stakeholders
  • Understanding of Salesforce platform and tools
  • Facilitate meetings and discussions effectively
