Key Responsibilities:

  • Foundry and CM management: oversee and ensure quality control for GaAs or InP based VCSEL and EEL production lines.
  • Owning production yield and output in MP phase. Interfacing requests from both internal/external customers. 
  • Collaborate with R&D team to execute experiment, facilitate new product introduction, ensuring smooth transition from NPI to high-volume production. Setup MP flow at foundry.
  • Perform statistical data analysis and troubleshoot root causes for yield issue/excursion in foundries, and address testing and correlation issues with Epi/Process/sub-assembly or module team.

Required Qualifications:

  • At least 5 years of experience in the industry (EPI or Process), particularly in III-V related devices.
  • Familiar with semiconductor device design, process development, fabrication, characterization, and failure analysis. Experience on VCSEL, EEL is preferred.
  • Proficient in both English and Mandarin, with the ability to lead meetings, facilitate action, and manage conflict resolution effectively.
  • Strong analytical skills, particularly using tools like JMP or Minitab for data analysis.
  • MS degree in electrical engineering, material science, physics, or other relevant major. PhD degree is preferred.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with III-V base lasers, with hands-on experience in the fabrication process being highly preferred. With semiconductor laser design, simulation experience would also be a plus.
  • Familiar with semiconductor wafer fab operations, including Manufacturing Execution System, process & quality control, change management etc. in a high-volume manufacturing environment is a plus.
  • Knowledge on optoelectronic device performance, reliability testing and modeling is a plus.
  • Experience in managing programs effectively. Able to drive actions and solutions with cross-functional teams.
  • Able to travel, flexible for new assignment.
