Duties & Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Conduct training and development needs analyses and contributes to the development of customized training programmes, serves as facilitator and/or lectures in specific areas of competence; Review, analyze and evaluate Training Plans submitted by Heads of Department and provide feedback; Assess the suitability of candidates for participation in training programmes, make recommendations for participation and evaluates training effectiveness; Assess training providers and makes recommendations for procurement.
  • Respond to employees’ queries and resolve issues in a timely and professional manner in accordance with Company policies and aligned to good industrial relations principles and practices.
  • Assist in the development of procedures and guidelines for handling employee grievances and disciplinary processes; Provide advice and support regarding the management of IR matters; Assist in the development of and provide support for employee relations projects.
  • Monitor employee leave, provide reports, support and guide managers on progressive disciplinary measures in terms of absence management.
  • Lead employee engagements activities with the aim of excellent event execution through request for proposals, following up with vendors and suppliers, communicating with employees, coordinating event.
  • Coordinate the various employee driven committees and monitor alignment to company calendar of events and budget.
  • Inputting and maintaining data into the HRIS system (HRp5 & Workday) for employees during their life cycle.
  • Performing administrative work: filing, copying, scanning, drafting correspondences, reports.  
  • Supporting additional projects being carried out by the wider Human Resources team.

 Additional functions to be performed as needed:

  • Assisting in the preparation Annual HR Budgets.
  • Participating in month end stock counts.
  • Supporting with interim and annual audits.
  • Maintaining safe and healthy work environment by establishing, following, and enforcing standards and procedures, complying with legal regulations.

 Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, human resources, or a relevant field.
  • A minimum of 3 years of proven experience in a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of labor legislation and payroll processes.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Outlook)
  • Excellent communication skills, interpersonal skills, ethics, and cultural awareness
  • Must possess a high level of confidentiality.
  • Problem-solving aptitude and time management skills
  • Natural interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong detail-oriented and resourceful mindset
