ABOUT THE ROLE: The Supply Chain Network Design team’s mission is to create the optimal distribution network model for the company, while leading initiatives to bring the network vision to reality. The team monitors and manages network KPIs, and provides the business with facility and logistics network design expertise. Areas of focus for the team are the enablement of strategic priorities including e-commerce, the design and implementation of warehouse automation technologies, and identifying and implementing opportunities to generate efficiencies in the flow of goods through the distribution network.

The Logistics Network Design Senior Analyst will be responsible for providing analytical and project management support to deliver on the team mission.

What you’ll do:

  • Use analytics tools to extract data, synthesize and perform analyses to support supply chain projects, including analysis of inventory, vendor and DC shipments, and warehouse assortment.
  • Use project management skills to coordinate the delivery of network solutions and improvements. Establish and maintain communication channels with team members, supporting stakeholders, management, and appropriate business units
  • Support the modelling, design and implementation of warehouse automation technologies
  • Logistics Network Modeling – Develop workable end-to-end logistics solutions to meet service and cost objectives through optimization of transportation, distribution, and inventory.
  • Support changes in distribution methods though data analysis, reporting and monitoring. Perform analysis to identify optimal distribution network model (fast to slow, SKU/Vendor alignment, etc.)
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to study areas of opportunity and present recommendations to various levels of leadership within Supply Chain.
  • Facility Design – Perform analytics on DC layout, slotting and location optimization accounting for assortment growth, DC productivity implications, and storage capacity. Identify and evaluate design alternatives and provide recommendations.
  • Support the design of logistical solutions to enable growth in e-commerce
  • Provide mentoring and training to colleagues

What you need:

  • University degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Computer Science, Operations Research, or Business Technology Management is ideal
  • 3 – 5 years of related experience in a supply chain or retail organization
  • Attention to detail, critical thinking, and the ability to make connections and draw conclusions are all key to success in this role

  • Experience with SQL and understanding of database concepts is strongly preferred. MS Access/SAS Enterprise Guide/etc.
  • Intermediate excel skills (pivot tables, lookup, etc.) are required. VBA or other coding experience (Excel/MS Access) is a plus
  • AutoCad experience is considered an asset
  • Ability to work in a fast paced multi-project environment with the ability to re-prioritize effectively when necessary
  • Must be able to engage effectively with stakeholders and all levels of management. Ability to consult and provide direction to contacts inside and outside an organization
  • Highly motivated with the ability to work independently within a team environment
  • Bilingualism (English/French) advantageous
