We’re in an unbelievably exciting area of tech and are fundamentally reshaping the data storage industry. Here, you lead with innovative thinking, grow along with us, and join the smartest team in the industry.

This type of work—work that changes the world—is what the tech industry was founded on. So, if you're ready to seize the endless opportunities and leave your mark, come join us.

THE ROLE

Join the Production Engineering team to architect the tools and services that define the future of developer productivity at Pure Storage. In this role, you will design and lead the development of CI/CD frameworks, code merge pipelines, and test infrastructure automation that scales to thousands of nodes. You will bridge the gap between development and operations, leveraging SRE principles to create a high-velocity, reliable developer experience that empowers our global engineering organization to innovate faster.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Architect and optimize high-scale pipelines to streamline code management and merge operations, drastically reducing the time from "code commit" to "production-ready."

  • Design self-service diagnostic tools that enable product teams to independently root-cause issues in complex test environments and virtual/physical infrastructure.

  • Build and manage fleet-scale orchestration for capacity, monitoring, and operations of our test infrastructure, ensuring reliability across thousands of active nodes.

  • Drive the innovation charter for Production Engineering by prototyping next-generation developer tools and scaling Test-Driven Development (TDD) practices within an integrated CI/CD ecosystem.

  • Lead technical excellence across the organization by participating in cross-functional design reviews, mentoring team members, and establishing high standards for code quality and maintainability.

WHAT YOU BRING

  • Deep software engineering expertise with extensive experience in Python, Go, or Rust, and a proven track record of architecting extensible, "code-first" infrastructure from the ground up.

  • Mastery of the DevOps ecosystem, including hands-on experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Gerrit, GitLab) and modern test frameworks (Pytest, JUnit) at enterprise scale.

  • Cloud-native infrastructure fluency, specifically regarding Containers, Kubernetes, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) for large-scale datacenter management.

  • Technical leadership and mentorship experience, with the ability to lead complex debugging efforts and drive technical consensus across cross-functional development and QA teams.

  • An automation-first mindset that prioritizes maintainable software design and a commitment to "delighting" internal developer customers by simplifying their workflows.

  • We are primarily an in-office environment and therefore, you will be expected to work from the Bengaluru office in compliance with Pure’s policies, unless you are on PTO, or work travel, or other approved leave.
