What you will do

Factory Direct is the company owned distribution arm of Johnson Controls HVAC equipment in the United States. This division as about $370MM in revenue with fifty-one locations. This position oversees and guides all the different Areas throughout the county to ensure all their logistics activities, including safety and quality, are operating uniformly according to prescribed practices and procedures. The Logistics/Safety Manager, through coaching and the utilization of metrics, will assist other on the Branch Operations Team to drive continuous improvement and improve the customer experience.

  • Warehouse and Transportation

Store and Warehouse Operations:

  • Employee Onboarding

  • Forklift Management - Training - Lease Management - Acquisition

  • Policy and Procedures

  • Inventory Process Management

  • Regional Ops Support for the North Area.

Driver and Fleet Management:

  • Telematics Monitoring and Setup

  • Driver Training, Audits, Compliance

  • Policies and Procedures

  • Maintenance & Lease Management Point of Contact for ALL locations

  • Element Coordination

  • Carriers & Claims

Purchasing and AP:

  • PO’s and Buysmart Management

  • Maple Management

Facilities:

  • Assist with the management facilities management, renewals, and set up of new branches.

General Administration:

  • Contact List and Distribution Lists

  • Phones

  • Employee Discipline and Guidance

What we look for

  • A combined 10+ years’ experience in store operations and logistics an emphasis in Safety and Quality in business operations is desired.

  • BA or higher preferred

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office with an emphasis in Excel

  • Able to professionally communicate in writing and verbally, with an emphasis in training and process documentation.
