What you will do:
You will be responsible for one or more business problems and suggesting technical solution. You will be interacting with business / end users to understand the problem space and provide the technical solution. You will be driving the architecture and design for the proposed solution and owning the technical quality of the solution. You will also have challenging opportunities to cross-collaborate with inter-disciplinary product and engineering teams to solve some of the unique challenges in multi-channel shopping experience.
Understand business problems and suggest technology solutions
Drive Proof of Concept (POC) and Proof of Technology(POT) evaluations
Lead engineering efforts from rapid prototypes to large-scale applications using variety of languages and tools/technology stacks.
Publish and update technical architecture and user/process documentation.
Architect, design, build and deploy cutting edge solutions at scale, impacting millions of customers.
You will need to exhibit strong leadership and communication skills to collaborate with business, product, engineering and management across different geographic locations
Create and recommend solution design options factoring in requirements, standards and current Infrastructure environment. Communicate and present solutions to the other stakeholders
Guide and mentor other members in the team to promote highly technical and self-sufficient teams.
What you will bring:
Bachelor's/Master’s Degree and 11+ yrs. of experience in Computer Science or related field
Expert in Data Structures and Algorithms.
5+ Yrs. of experience with RESTful web services and SOA (Service Oriented Architecture)
5+ Yrs. of experience with Java (Spring MVC, Hibernate) in building multi-threaded high-performance scalable applications
5+ Yrs. of experience with NoSQL such as Cosmos, Cassandra, Mongo DB etc. Strong SQL skills and DB knowledge.
Hands on in Architecting and developing large scale Java applications
Expert in writing high quality code for production use in scalable systems.
Expert in one of the cloud ecosystems: Azure (preferred), AWS or GCP
Deep understanding of Application Infrastructure, Operations and Network Management eco-systems.
Strong technical troubleshooting, diagnosing and problem-solving skills
Ability to work with distributed teams in a collaborative and productive manner
A self-motivated learner and builder with strong customer focus and obsession with quality
