U.S. Bank is seeking the position of Senior Software Engineer (Full Stack – React/Java) in Cincinnati, Ohio.  

Essential Responsibilities:

The Senior Software Engineer (Full Stack – React/Java) will be responsible for analyzing, researching, and suggesting best technology stack for optimum performance with cost feasibility; translating business needs with into a technical solution using the best tech and resource available within the team; the design and development of medium to highly complex, efficient, and scalable systems; creating optimal design adhering to architectural best practices; taking feedback from code review and applying changes to meet standards; conducting code reviews to provide guidance on engineering best practices and compliance with development procedures; and ensuring all aspects of product development follow compliance and security best practices. Domestic travel required 25% to 49% of the time. Position may allow working from home within commuting distance of worksite location. Multiple positions.

Basic Qualifications:

Requires a Master’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Applications, or Computer Information Systems plus 2 years of experience as a Software Developer or related. Will accept a Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Applications, or Computer Information Systems plus 5 years of experience as a Software Developer or related in lieu of a Master’s degree plus 2 years of experience.

RequiredSkills/Experience:
Must possess 2 years of experience with Master’s or 5 years of experience with Bachelor’s with the following: (a) comprehending and translating business requirements into technical specifications; (b) designing and developing complex, efficient, and scalable systems; (c) providing performance improvement plan matrix and high level software design; (d) analyzing, researching and suggesting best technology stack for optimum performance with cost feasibility; (e) developing, integrating and documenting software components and monitoring the execution of various system flows; (f) identifying potential system threats and providing feedback; (g) using testdriven development to maintain high coding quality standards using various testing frameworks; and (f) utilizing the following tools and technologies: Java, JEE, SQL, Spring, Springboot, Microservices, Angular, HTML and JavaScript, NodeJS, Graphql, Docker, Cassandra, Jenkins, Kubernetes, Rancher, Kibana, Splunk, AWS, Junit and JIRA. Experience may be gained concurrently. Position may allow working from home within commuting distance of worksite location.
