MRO Storeroom Leader

7:00 AM - 3:00 PM

 

The MRO Storeroom Leader strives above all else to deliver the right part to the right place at the right time. This role will manage the stock, organization, upkeep, and continuous improvement activities of the assigned storeroom(s). This role will assist in development and application of corporate standards to ensure alignment of storeroom systems network wide. This role may have one or more Storeroom Attendants reporting to them.

Your seat at the table:

  • MRO Leadership. The MRO Storeroom Leader is the owner of their assigned storeroom(s). This role drives stocking, critical spares, and stock disposition discussions. This role will implement corporate organizational standards within their assigned storeroom(s) and ensure alignment between the CMMS and the physical inventory locations at the site. This role will lead the Storeroom Attendant in ownership and upkeep.
  • MRO and CMMS Training and Technical Support. Train and support Maintenance Department and effected users’ site wide in proper MRO processes and CMMS usage. Site communications conduit for Change Management process regarding MRO systems and CMMS practices and procedures.
  • MRO Data Stewardship. Understands the impacts and flow of MRO inventory data through the CMMS. Works closely with the MRO Purchaser to ensure internal and external data is aligned as inventory evolves over time. Responsible for the accuracy of CMMS data at the site level and escalates issues or findings to the network level. Active participant in network data management groups and activities.
  • Continually reviews inventory against corporate standards for min/max, stocking, and disposition standards. Proposes changes for addition, removal, or change to inventory status within their assigned storeroom(s) through proper channels.
  • Achieves targets for all storeroom metrics including zero stock outs of critical spares, 100% of parts assigned to BOMs. Reports storeroom performance metrics to the site and corporate leaders as required.
  • Ensures completion of cycle counts on schedule and at or above targets. Communicates inaccuracies and creates action plans with corporate MRO Leader and appropriate site managers to prevent reoccurrences.
  • Implements corporate storeroom standards and best practices, assigns, or completes maintenance activities to ensure part longevity and reduction of infant mortality after installation.
  • Manages execution of kitting process supporting maintenance work cycle
  • Works with site MRO Purchaser to adhere to corporate purchasing standards.
  • Identifies form, fit, function equivalents within their storeroom for consolidation and communication to CMMS data management team.
  • Interacts with local supplier representatives to build effective relationships that support the needs of the storeroom during normal operations as well as emergencies. This includes implementation and management of vendor managed and consignments agreements where appropriate.
  • Understands and uses corporate taxonomy standards to identify parts, including addition and correction with the CMMS. Performs additional duties as assigned.

What you bring to the table:

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in MRO storerooms (preferred) or 5 years in inventory management environments
  • Understanding of maintenance and reliability processes, preferably in food or CPG manufacturing environments.
  • In depth working knowledge of CMMS software, (Maintenance Connection preferred) or inventory management software
  • Should possess a strong understanding and ability to properly identify electrical and mechanical parts
  • Excellent communication skills, including written and verbal 
  • Experience maintaining and improving MRO storerooms.
  • Experience envisioning and executing continuous improvement projects.
  • Experience in an FDA regulated environment where quality, compliance, and safety are core values.
  • Availability to support assigned storeroom(s) and attendant(s) outside of normal hours as needed 

Desired Qualifications:

  • MRO Storeroom management training or qualifications. 
  • Experience maintaining and improving MRO storerooms. 
  • Experience envisioning and executing continuous improvement projects.
