The NAM Major Correctives Leader is responsible for the execution and financial performance of the Major Crane Activities and Blade Repairs for the North America Region. They will ensure the highest standards of safety, quality, and operational excellence in the execution of all repair activities, driving customer satisfaction and achieving demanding business targets.

Key Responsibilities:
Operational & Contractor Management
- Safety & Quality Leadership: Champion a zero-fatality safety culture and maintain the highest quality standards for all repair activities.
- Contractor Management: Oversee the successful and efficient execution of third-party crane and labor vendors. Ensure compliance with safety obligations, quality execution and performance metrics.
- Efficiency: Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance service efficiency, reduce operational costs, and maximize turbine uptime.
Financial Performance
- Budget Management: Responsibility for the major repairs budget, including developing, managing, and achieving annual operating budgets.
- Target Achievement: Meet or exceed aggressive performance targets for.
- Work Standards of the various types of repairs.
- Financial Budget adherence (cost control) in line with cost catalog. Drive continuous improvement and innovative vendor cost strategies to deliver annual savings on repairs and limit GE Vernova risk.
- Transactional Execution In support of regional targets (non-contracted services, upgrades, and spot work).
Leadership and People Management
- Advanced Leadership: Provide inspiring and decisive leadership to a large team of employees and contractors.
- Talent Development: Focus on the recruitment, training, development, and retention of a highly skilled and safety-conscious workforce.
- Performance Management: Establish clear performance goals, conduct regular reviews, and foster a culture of accountability and high performance for both GEV teams and Contractors.
Stakeholder Management and Industry Influence
- Customer Relationships: Build and maintain strong, high-level relationships with key customers (asset owners, utilities, independent power producers) across all countries in the region, acting as the primary executive point of contact for service matters.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all operations comply with local environmental, health, safety, and labor regulations.
- Industry Influence: Develop and leverage relationships within the broader wind energy industry, including suppliers, governmental bodies, and industry associations, to advance the company's position and influence regional standards.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college in a relevant discipline.
- 7–10+ years of experience in field services, wind turbine maintenance, major component repairs, crane operations, or related energy‑sector service execution.
- 5+ years of leadership experience managing employees and/or contractors in a field‑based or service‑delivery environment, including oversight of third‑party vendors.
- Strong knowledge of operational execution, contractor management, safety & quality standards, and cost control, including budget management and adherence to cost catalogs.
Desired Characteristics:
- Strong people‑leadership capability, with a proven ability to motivate, develop, and manage diverse, distributed teams and third‑party contractors.
- Effective partner management, including experience collaborating with crane vendors, blade repair specialists, and field labor providers to ensure safe, high‑quality, and productive execution.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to anticipate and resolve complex repair, crane, or logistics challenges in a dynamic field environment.
- Excellent communication and customer‑facing skills, able to build trusted relationships with asset owners, utilities, and other key stakeholders.
- Demonstrated experience driving LEAN, cost‑out, and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and repair execution.
- High attention to detail and strong ownership mindset, able to manage multiple repair types, shifting priorities, and variable work scopes simultaneously.
- Solid understanding of safety regulations, environmental compliance, and labor requirements across NAM.
For candidates applying to a U.S. based position, the pay range for this position is between $192,000 and $288,000 USD. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set.
