Position Summary:

As a Business Operations Associate, you will be responsible for acting as a key player of the Business Operations team in creating, running, analyzing, and refining processes that advance the many initiatives of OceanX. You’ll have the opportunity to interact directly with OX external partners as well as with leaders of the enterprise as you work on various strategic, operational, financial, and analytical projects.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Help build, shape, refine, and execute initiatives and processes to support the growth and impact of OceanX
  • Provide internal consultation and staff augmentation services for various departments including science, media, education, missions, and marketing
  • Drive strategic projects focused on maximizing operational efficiency and effectiveness including developing project plans, prioritizing, communicating key decisions and progress reports / escalations
  • Provide leverage for executing shared services provisioning including for HR, Finance, Legal and Tech
  • Build financial reports, models and analytics to support strategic decision-making
  • Create and drive enterprise and departmental analytics and ad-hoc reporting for OceanX, partner organizations and Dalio Family Office stakeholders
  • Prepare presentations for strategic decisioning, for demonstration to executive leadership and to partners / customers
  • Operate within expected culture standards and way of being: transparency, direct feedback, machine like thinking, and continuous personal and professional improvement

Qualifications: 

  • Professional Experience: 
    • 3+ years of relevant problem solving, project management, analytics or strategic planning experience
    • Exceptional project management capabilities and spearheading / driving projects through to completion with minimal direction
    • Excellent presentation, analysis and data visualization skills
    • Advanced excel skills and modeling experience and experience in reporting & analytics
    • Experience with Jira, Smartsheet, Notion, Monday.com and/or similar platforms is a plus
    • Experience with databases such as SQL and data visualization tools is a plus
    • Ability to work and thrive in an entrepreneurial, rapidly evolving environment, with significant ambiguity
    • Ability to communicate effectively in written and oral communications
    • Strong project management capabilities

Compensation: 

Compensation for the role includes a competitive salary in the range from $85,000 - $120,000 (inclusive of a merit-based bonus, dependent on years of experience, level of education obtained, as well as applicable skillset), potentially a success-driven incentive payment and an excellent benefits package, including a comprehensive employer paid medical plan and generous employer match for 401k.
