About the Project and opportunity:

Acciona Construction Australia have been awarded a contract with the Australian Naval Infrastructure Project in South Australia. This project will involve a number both civil and structural packages.

As such we are seeking to engage a Senior Project Engineer with experience in Civil or Bridge Structures to join our team. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to a major project and play a key part in its successful delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • As an onsite project team ensure the project is delivered to overall program to cost & time with resources needed leading to a high level of client satisfaction
  • Lead client/contractor meetings especially in the PM's absence
  • Identification and assessment of risk to the project as well as implementation of strategies to mitigate risk
  • Use your technical skills to resolve design challenges and identify value engineering opportunities
  • Assist in development and implementation of the master program and maintain mid- long-term look aheads
  • Contracts & commercial responsibilities on the project
  • Cost and forecast control to assist the project managers with strategic planning
  • Lead, develop and manage large project teams on the ground
  • Build effective and & collaborative relationships to coordinate activities with supervisors
  • Maintaining quality, environmental, and safety systems across the project

Required Skills and Competencies

    Skills and Experience we are seeking:

    • You will have extensive experience on site working on a range of civil packages as those above.
    • You will be able to manage, and develop the master program as well as display a high level of competency around contracts, cost forecasting, & management of a large team of engineers
    • Well-developed communication skills and an ability to build and maintain relationships with a broad range of subcontractors, local authorities, internal staff and client representatives
