euNetworks operates a hybrid working model. This role is an 18-month contract with the potential to transition to a permanent position.

 

The role 

Having experienced significant growth, eunetworks now has several large customer and Network projects committed for 2023 and beyond. In the role of the Project Manager you will be leading the delivery of these projects working closely with: Network development/Product, Engineering, Carrier Relations, Deployment Engineering and Third Party Suppliers.

You will define, plan, control and manage project delivery for euNetworks, delivering all aspects of the project in accordance to agreed specification, budget and timescales though the Project Framework process.

This will require a strong understanding of cross-dependencies, managing and effectively communicating risks, and coming up with constructive solutions. 

You will have the opportunity to steer the organisation and be an integral part of its success.

 

What will you be doing?

  • The Project Manager will operate in a fast paced and dynamic environment, effectively managing competing priorities.
  • Leading a virtual project team to successfully implement the project deliverables including Project kick-off meeting, definition and assignment of tasks/deliverables and agreement on Project delivery schedule
  • Managing internal and external suppliers to deliver the project on time and within cost tolerances
  • Creates and maintains project plans showing key activities, milestones, dependencies, durations and task ownership for each project. Ensures that deviations to critical milestones are flagged at the earliest opportunity
  • Provides Capex, Netex and Netopex cost estimations/actuals related to the projects and manages the project spend against budget once agreed.
  • Monitors, measures and reports on the performance of the Projects against set targets
  • Maintains an Action, Issues and Risks log and establishes contingency plans to minimize business risk dependent upon probability of risk occurrence
  • Ensures that correct and adequate information passes to project stakeholders
  • Manage change process with key stakeholders.

 

We’d like you to bring to us.

  • Significant project management experience, managing bespoke projects, ideally in a Telco environment
  • Industry experience in managing fibre network build projects with experience in the construction /civils fibre build phases of a project.
  • Understanding the planning, design, permitting process through to the delivery phase of projects including managing 3rd party construction of trench, installation of duct/subduct and working knowledge of the installation of multicore fibre either pulled and blown fibre installs.
  • Experience with splicing and testing an advantage.
  • Proven experience in the delivery of large projects in several countries
  • Strong understanding of end to end delivery processes (Telco Equipment suppliers, Third Party fibre and colocation providers, ordering, installation…)
  • Direct working knowledge of internet and telecommunications networking technologies.
  • Knowledge of optical networking technology (DWDM) would be an advantage
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent Team Player and ability to work in an international team
