Business Bank (BB) offer a wide range of services and solutions to our small to medium, enterprise customers and our regional and agribusiness customers. Everyday Business Banking has accountability for Cash Management, Payments, Merchants, Business Lending and Commerce Solutions as well as delivery of analytical capabilities to support our business customers. The Customer Experience team is accountable for managing the end-to-end business customer experience.

As a Senior Product Manager, you will be part of the Product Chapter and work within the Digital and Transactions Crew, focussing on Corporate cards. You will be responsible for leading key strategic, growth initiatives. You will also be responsible for monitoring product performance, delivering continuous improvement and risk buy-down initiatives and ensuring compliance with all regulatory obligations. You will move forward with less-than-perfect information and quickly pivot to respond to new information and trends. You will work constructively with others and partner with stakeholders to deliver objectives.

Responsibilities:

  • Leverage insights on the product marketplace, trends and direct competitors to deliver recommendations for product enhancements and/or new offerings.​
  • Lead the development and refinement of customer propositions, through insights from customer breakpoints, Voice of Customer feedback and opportunities for improvement.​
  • Lead product process developments and enhancements utilising customer centred design thinking.​
  • Influence key product decisions and prioritisation through compelling product performance insights including financial, business and customer experience.​
  • Engage with internal risk and product governance frameworks.
  • Present and prepare product papers and reports to various governance forums, senior stakeholders and leadership teams.​
  • Stay abreast of the regulatory environment the product operates within and lead the execution of regulatory changes.​
  • Manage complex product enquires and complaints, uplifting internal communications and training where required.​
  • Manage operational risk incidents and issues relating to the product, uplifting and implementing controls where required.​
  • Lead product change initiatives to continuously improve the product offering and processes, enhancing customer outcomes and value.​
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key technical stakeholders across frontline, technology, risk and operations.
  • Provide advice and input, as a subject matter expert, into the product and proposition strategy.​
  • Manage and oversee the end-to-end life cycle of the product, including updating features, policies, terms and conditions, pricing, profit and loss statements, customer retention and remediation, and the overall process chain.

We want to hear from you if you have

  • Demonstrated Product Management experience (5+ years) in financial services with proven all-round product management skills (project delivery and agile experience, productivity, portfolio monitoring, operational and credit risk experience)
  • Minimum 2+ years of cards domain experience 
  • Product development and delivery experience 
  • A Customer obsessed mindset, with the ability to design solutions through a deep understanding of the needs of business lending customers
  • Deep understanding of the end-to-end business lending process and credit policy
  • Exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Advanced stakeholder management skills with a proven record of influencing senior leadership across Product, Distribution and Risk Management.
  • Advanced problem-solving capabilities – need to have the motivation and be comfortable with investigating and providing recommended options/solutions to complex problems.
  • Ability to work autonomously and manage multiple deliverables concurrently.
  • Analytical mindset- need to be comfortable working with multiple data sources and generating relevant business insights and data backed recommendations to improve performance and customer experience.
