Job Description

This position is for a part-time Outreach and Events Program Leader for Tarleton Innovation and Entrepreneurship University Center in Stephenville, TX. The University Center (UC) is being funded by a US. Department of Commerce Economic Development Administration grant. The UC serves 24 counties in North Central Texas by supporting innovation and entrepreneurship and acting as a hub for knowledge-based economic development and rural resilience. Works hours are Mon - Fri 8AM - 5PM for a hybrid/remote setting.

This position is part-time and grant funded. After one-year if grant funding for the center remains, the time and effort of this position will be re-evaluated.

Under general direction from the Executive Director, specific activities for the Outreach and Events Program Leader include:

  • developing community outreach and training initiatives with our partners that address UC priorities in workforce development and technical assistance.

  • identifying and networking with prospective mentors for client technical assistance and to speak at scheduled group events.

  • communicating and coordinating event activities between the University Center and collaborating organizations, which may include State and Federal agencies, private organizations, and industry groups.

  • reporting to the Executive Director at the end of each fiscal year. 

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in applicable field or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Seven years of related experience

  • Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple projects through completion

  • Analyzing data and reporting on event performance

  • Expertise in hosting and navigating both in-person and virtual events, with an innovative approach to creative, hybrid experiences and out-of-the-box ideas to engage our external community partners

  • Excellent communication

  • Leadership abilities

Salary Range

The target base annual salary range is $37,000 and may be negotiable based on funding availability and candidate experience/skillset in relation to the minimum requirements of this position.
