Objective

Lead the Controllership function for the Brazil line of business, ensuring month-end close, governance, tax compliance, internal and external audits in line with corporate policies and CPC/IFRS/COSIF standards.

Key Responsibilities

Accounting & Governance (Brazil)

  • Drive month-end close (GL, reconciliations, provisions) and SPED; ensure the quality of balances and entries.
  • Establish and maintain accounting policies, procedures and internal controls aligned with audit standards.
  • Ensure compliance with CPC/IFRS/COSIF and corporate reporting guidelines.

Direct & Indirect Taxes (Brazil)

  • Ensure compliance and accuracy in tax calculation, filing and reporting for direct and indirect taxes (IRPJ/CSLL, PIS/COFINS, ISS).
  • Monitor regulatory changes and implement process adjustments as needed.

Internal & External Audits (Brazil)

  • Plan, support and conclude audits; prepare evidence, respond to findings and lead remediation plans.
  • Maintain up-to-date documentation for historical and compliance purposes.

Leadership, Processes & Partnerships

  • Manage and develop the team (goals, feedback, performance) in line with M1 management responsibilities.
  • Design and improve processes (efficiency, quality, automation) in compliance with audit standards.
  • Partner closely with FP&A, Commercial, Revenue Ops, Tax and Shared Services; maintain strong cross-functional collaboration.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

  • On-time month-end close without material adjustments.
  • Audit findings resolved within agreed SLAs; reduced recurrence.
  • Tax compliance and e-invoicing adherence.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Brazilian CRC mandatory;
  • Solid experience in accounting, taxes, audits and billing; prior people leadership experience.
  • Strong knowledge of CPC/IFRS/COSIF and internal controls.
  • Fluent English; Spanish desired (regional interaction).
  • Strong communication (written, presentation), negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
  • Hands-on experience with ERP and fiscal/e-invoicing solutions (Oracle/Microsiga).
