The Role:

The role of the Team Lead position will form part of a Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) organisation within BDUK, working as part of a team in support of our key programmes. The individual will be responsible for ensuring established process adherence, accurate and timely work recording and contractual/regulatory compliance.

Deliverables:

  • Aircraft log books (MoD Form F700).
  • Aircraft/Component Log cards.
  • Support Short/Medium/Long term reporting.
  • Supporting data release to internal and external customers.
  • Creating CWOs for emergent work during input – supporting maintenance staff.
  • Day-to-day planning and scheduling of the maintenance input – scheduling the emergent work into the base plan.
  • Daily reporting metrics/data to support the MRO Control team with reporting check progress to key stakeholders via Tiered meeting structure.
  • Creating of CWOs for Accepted AWRs during Input phase.
  • Compiling data for Post Inspection Review (Scheduled review Meeting) and re-base lining of schedule if required.
  • Assisting MRO Maintenance controller with all paperwork and administrative functions during the Maintenance input.
  • Performing document retention process.
  • Capturing and recording of performance monitoring data.
  • Auditing, monitoring of aircraft WOs.
  • Aircraft status and delivery records.
  • Supporting MRO Maintenance Controller with work package closure.
  • Supporting MRO Maintenance Controller with Creating a Post Check Report, (Post check review).
  • Delivering a product to the customer on schedule with first time quality standard.

Required Qualifications:

  • Is highly experienced in scheduled maintenance, repair and modification of aircraft/component and suitably trained/authorised on the aircraft type or component type being worked.
  • Holds 2nd or 2nd & 3rd Signature authorisation on the aircraft type being worked on, dependant on business or platform requirements.
  • Has the ability to provide leadership oversight and apply both their technical knowledge and human factors (HF) knowledge, with regard to the running and control of their team/s, against industry and organisational requirements.
  • Is an excellent communicator, with a demonstrable ability to communicate the organisational, management and technical work requirements to their team/s, to ensure it is understood, in order that key business targets are met.
  • Is capable of working and communicating within management levels, cross functional areas and the customer effectively.
  • Has demonstrable and proven working knowledge of MAA Regulatory Articles (RA), MAA Regulatory Publication (MRP) Part 145, BDUK MRP 145 MOE, aviation Quality Assurance (QA) and Safety Management System (SMS) processes, and the application of these requirements within their area of accountability, responsibility and authority.
  • Is capable of providing leadership to their team/s, in order to maintain a scheduled plan, the sequencing and control of demanding workloads, for on time completion, to budget and to the required standard.
  • Is capable of understanding and interpreting Technical Documents, Technical Drawings and/or associated Authorised Technical Publications (ATP’s), to provide guidance to their team/s if necessary.
  • Has a demonstrable and proven leadership track record and is capable of adopting appropriate leadership skills/styles for effective management of their team/s.

Work Authorisation: This position does not have sponsorship approval. This requisition is for a locally hired position in the UK.
