Position Overview
We are looking for a dynamic Engineering Manager to spearhead our Connected Delivery platform team. This critical infrastructure enables users to seamlessly discover, download, and install Autodesk products, services, and third-party applications. Your mission will be to lead a full-stack team to craft modern experiences supported by scalable and resilient services that meet our rapidly expanding needs.
Location: San Francisco, CA (hybrid)
Responsibilities
Lead and Grow: Manage, mentor, and inspire a team of talented full-stack engineers, fostering an environment of innovation and high performance
Hands-On Engagement: Dedicate approximately 25% of your time to hands-on development, staying close to the technology and your team’s workflows
Strategic Influence: Provide strategic insights to senior management on project development, potential, and the technological roadmap
Enhance Efficiency: Identify and implement efficiency enhancements through better engineering practices, automation, and optimized processes
Collaborate and Drive Vision: Work closely with technical leads and product managers to align with and drive forward the company’s vision
Uphold Excellence: Ensure your team delivers software to the highest standards of quality, security, and resiliency
Expand Team Capability: Be actively involved in hiring and developing a diverse and effective engineering team
Minimum Qualifications
Experienced Leader: You have a BE/BS in Computer Science (MS preferred) and 8+ years in the industry, including at least 5 years in technical leadership and 2+ in people management
Technically Proficient: Your skills include advanced knowledge of front-end technologies (like ReactJS), Java, Spring Boot, and cloud services (AWS preferred)
Agile Advocate: You thoroughly understand Agile methodologies and have a proven track record of leading teams in fast-paced, agile environments
Communicator: Excellent communication and decision-making skills are part of your repertoire, which is crucial for managing diverse and geographically dispersed teams
