Senior Product Director CoC


 

What you will be doing:

This position is responsible for the creation and execution of the product strategy (including technology, services, and data) for the Continuum of Care areas of the Premier product portfolio.

This position will have oversight and accountability for:

  • Product “Ownership”

  • Member and market requirements

  • Persona development and User experience

  • Mapping requirements to the portfolio

  • Portfolio alignment

  • Detail business capabilities and features

  • Managing the portfolio to support the business direction and market needs

  • Development of go to market strategies

  • Support of Sales, Operations, and marketing efforts

  • Go to market planning and execution

  • Market trend analysis including Competitive assessment

This position leads the development and implementation of product strategy through the formulation and execution of short- and long-range plans (“subject area plan” and roadmap) to achieve objectives; provides product life cycle innovation insights and distinctive competence; conducts product development and user design needs analysis; and builds and maintains strategic relationships.

This position collaborates and works closely with development, marketing, sales, business owners and other internal stakeholders to meet deliverables.

Key Responsibilities

Product Team Ownership/ Management 70%

  • Maintains the product milestone roadmaps, congruent with the alignment of Premier’s mission, vision, values, and strategic priorities.; recommends strategic approaches congruent with the objectives of the functional area

  • Creates and maintains the portfolio roadmap and plans

  • Accountable for planning, effectively organizing and deploying resources and monitoring their use in meeting objectives

  • Ensures that value creation for members

  • Optimizes automation and development efficiency opportunities

  • Ensures consistent processes across the disciplines of product management

  • Provides inspirational leadership that motivates, develops and rewards people for performance.

  • Ensures the usage of business planning and quality management tools, internal and external, to continuously improve processes.

  • Leads developmental actions that bring innovation and encourage the appropriate risk taking needed to manage ongoing change; manages the innovation process to keep new ideas feeding the product life cycle.

  • Coordinates with the other Portfolio Leaders to ensure integrated product strategies to align to Premier business priorities

  • Optimizes the achievement of financial goals and member satisfaction, as well as other strategic targets in functional area

  • Monitors the progress of operations and results for functional area vis-à-vis budget and targets, and takes corrective action necessary to ensure the realization of the planned revenue and distribution targets

Relationship Management – 30%

  • Meet existing customers, potential prospects and internal stakeholders face-to-face and deeply understand what they want.

  • Represent the internal/external customer in all discussions around short-term tradeoffs

  • Consider the needs of all stakeholders: buyer, user, new markets, sales, marketing, support, development, client management.

  • Imparts a detailed appreciation of the customer’s issues.

  • Fully understands and communicates to members the value proposition of functional area of the portfolio

  • Develops and maintains effective working relationships with Premier leadership, shareholders, customers, and business partners

Work Experience:

Years of Applicable Experience - 10 or more years

Education:

Bachelors (Required)


 

Preferred Qualifications

Skills:

  • 5+ years building and leading high performing software product teams

  • PMP or related certification

  • Mastery of tools such as Aha!, ADO

  • Experience with KPI tracking and process improvement

  • Dynamics 365 CE (CRM) experience

  • Superior communication and written skills

  • Executive presence and ability to build cross functional relationships

Working Conditions: Remote


 

Travel Requirements: Travel 1-20% within the US


 

Physical Demands: Sedentary: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally, and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves remaining stationary most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if movement is required only occasionally, and all other sedentary criteria are met.


 

Premier’s compensation philosophy is to ensure that compensation is reasonable, equitable, and competitive in order to attract and retain talented and highly skilled employees. Premier’s internal salary range for this role is $125,000 - $231,000. Final salary is dependent upon several market factors including, but not limited to, departmental budgets, internal equity, education, unique skills/experience, and geographic location. Premier utilizes a wide-range salary structure to allow base salary flexibility within our ranges.
