Primary Responsibilities (responsibilities specific to this to this role)

  • RFQ and negotiate terms of purchase to procures at the lowest cost consistent with consideration of quality, reliability of source and urgency of need.  Expedites and ensures the timely receipt of materials.
  • Follows-up on orders, verifies delivery, approves payment, and maintains necessary records.  Follows standard purchasing business processes.
  • Reviews MRP; Executes and cancels pull-in, push-out and planned orders as prioritized.  Identifies issues and escalates as necessary to materials management.
  • Coordinates/drive problem resolution for material related accounting and receiving issues.
  • Maintains inventory levels per plan and performs analysis to minimizes E&Z demand inventory.  Provides input to management regarding action plans to address long term issues.
  • Coordinates purchasing activities with manufacturing and engineering departments to maintain inventory at planned levels.
  • Analytical, automation and process improvement skills to enhance purchasing process.
  • Drive supplier delivery performance review & educate supplier to improve.
  • Drive projects with a strong sense of ownership, taking initiative to lead and deliver results with accountability.

Must need:

  • SAP experience
  • Purchasing with MFG background.

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelors of Engineering in Mechanical/Manufacturing/Production/Electrical
  • 4 to 8 years of relevant experience in buyer
