The Director Product Management (ATP LATAM) will lead and coach a cross-functional team of product managers and analysts in Brazil and Argentina to:

  • Develop and deliver on a customer-back, inspirational vision, strategy and multi-year discovery and delivery roadmaps

  • Manage the end-to-end product lifecycle for our products in the LATAM region

  • Effectively and efficiently deliver the highest quality Compliance updates for our LATAM ATP Products with a focus on obtaining the highest level of customer satisfaction

Partnering closely with regional leadership, engineering, design, product marketing, sales, and other product leaders, this person will define and deliver user-friendly, innovative solutions that improve the lives of our customers while driving profitable growth for the LATAM business, including opportunities for expansion into new markets and customer segments. 

They will also serve as the bridge between our ATP and LATAM organizations, and drive efforts to bring Onvio, our flagship next-generation suite of cloud-based tools for tax and accounting professionals, to our LATAM markets.

The key areas of responsibility are: (About the Role)

  • Manage, build and grow an inclusive team of high-performing product managers and analysts focused on customer empathy, continuous learning & experimentation and iterative delivery of value

  • Drive the LATAM product vision and strategy, by developing a profound understanding of customer insights, staying at the forefront of market and technology trends, and identifying lucrative business opportunities with a special emphasis on leveraging AI to set new market benchmarks

  • Define the Product Discovery and Product Delivery roadmaps. Enable teams to execute in parallel on both Learning Plans and agile delivery of customer value

  • Enable revenue generation across customer segments by creating innovative solutions and delivering high-quality, high-impact products and services

  • Support customer segment and go-to-market teams with product launch and ongoing sales efforts with customer visits, and other forms of customer engagement activities

  • Ensure efficient, timely, high quality delivery of legislative and compliance updates across the portfolio

  • Contribute to the growth of the global Thomson Reuters Product community and transformation of Thomson Reuters from a “holding company to an operating company” with shared capabilities and connections across the product portfolio

Responsibilities:

  • Owns the product creation and delivery process; delivering delightful customer experiences that drive business impact from concept to design, delivery, experimentation, support, and launch for the ATP LATAM product line(s)

  • Sets long term product strategy and roadmap that is rooted in a deep understanding of customer’s needs and the strengths and weaknesses of competitive products; ensuring that priorities align with the overall TR business strategy

  • Helps bridge LATAM and US priorities and champion the needs of our customers and markets in LATAM

  • Optimizes regulatory compliance processes and methodologies to best support the organization’s strategic priorities

  • Engages with senior executives and other internal and external stakeholders to gain wide support of the strategy; ensures that priorities align with the overall business strategy

  • Develops strong cross-functional relationships (with technology, customer experience design, marketing, sales, etc.) to deliver high-value, innovative experiences to TR customers

  • Drive strategic projects outside their specific area of product ownership that will help shape long-term business strategy

Key Deliverables:

  • Defines, monitors, and executes the product & business plans to meet or exceed product, revenue, cost and growth goals for their product line / geography(s)

  • Product vision and roadmap - outlines the path towards achieving vision and growth objectives including revenue, profit, market share, and return on investment for all business channels and key customers, in short and long term

  • Product Discovery and Delivery roadmaps that are ruthlessly prioritized based on strategy, data, customer insights and business objectives to deliver the most impactful, high quality solutions to our customers

  • Delivery of high-quality, high value products, experiences, and services in partnership with technology, content teams, etc. with a focus on continuous improvements in the agile development process

  • Strategy and customer experience that transition customers from legacy software products to cloud-based online products with confidence

  • Value articulation for new products and enhancements in collaboration with customer segment teams and marketing

  • Enable an agile process and mindset across the organization, championing self-organization, collaboration and continuous improvement within the business.

Requirements: (About You)

  • Proven capability to build customer-backed vision, develop product strategy, set direction and accelerate change needed to impact short and long-term results

  • Previous experience with defining and launching cloud-based (SaaS) B2B solutions with a proven track record of migrating customers from legacy (desktop/on-premise) solutions is preferred

  • Clear and concise communicator who can excite and motivate teams internally and drive alignment, trust, influence and buy-in with a wide range of internal and external audiences

  • Strengths in collaborating with and leaning into marketing and customer market development; comfortable with going deep into critical technology decisions

  • Strong people leader who can recruit, coach, and retain top product talent

  • Skilled at relentlessly prioritizing to drive customer market value while balancing key stakeholder input

  • Skilled at ensuring product teams have complete, high-quality requirements, including business, functional, and technical voices, and effective, iterative testing cycles to support high-quality software delivery 

  • Highly accountable, efficient, and results-oriented; takes ownership and drives a sense of urgency without losing sight of the long-term vision

  • Has a learning mindset, curious, bold, self-aware and humble

  • Experience building and leading a best-in-class product team through transformation

  • Knowledge of scaled Agile methodology and experience leading agile transformation is a plus

  • Experience driving innovation and applying lean startup principles in the enterprise is a plus

  • Ability to thrive in and navigate global matrixed organizations

  • Fluent in English

  • Portuguese and Spanish (highly desirable)
