As a Product Engineer, you'll drive design changes on commercial products to enhance performance, safety, compliance, and cost. This includes material changes, compliance with new testing standards, addressing product issues, implementing new test methods, supporting process improvements, and managing product line extensions or manufacturing transfers for critical components in the Sports Medicine business.

You will need to live within commuting distance of our Greenwood Village, Colorado office. You will need to be in the office 3 days a week and can work from home on other days.

What you will do

  • Research, modify, and verify components, modules, and sub-systems for medical devices, ensuring compliance with specifications, reliability, and regulatory requirements.
  • Determine testing requirements for design changes, assess patient risk, and support execution, including drafting protocols and reports for design verification and validation.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and suppliers to create or update CAD models, drawings, and engineering documentation, including the Design History file.
  • Analyze and resolve complex product or process design issues using independent judgment, ensuring solutions are cost-effective, manufacturable, and reliable.
  • Coordinate cross-functionally to implement design changes, working with Design, Regulatory, Quality, Manufacturing, Testing, and Supply Chain teams.
  • Provide technical expertise to support regulatory filings and respond to questions from regulatory agencies.
  • Apply knowledge of clinical procedures and customer needs to enhance product performance and patient outcomes.
  • Lead improvements to processes, systems, and technology, while ensuring adherence to quality management and risk management procedures.

What you need

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical or related discipline

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Sports medicine medical device engineering internship experience

$67,400.00-136,200.00 salary plus bonus eligible + benefits. Actual minimum and maximum may vary based on location. Individual pay is based on skills, experience, and other relevant factors.

Travel Percentage: 10%
