C.H. Robinson is seeking a Project Logistics Specialist to supporting the overall management and coordination of project freight to achieve client satisfaction. In this role, you will develop long term relationships with clients and their contractors by providing excellent service and successfully demonstrating that we are a premier project forwarder through superior performance. The Project Logistics Specialist directly supports customer supply chains by helping to move their freight efficiently and effectively. You will interact directly with customers to build and strengthen relationships, increase efficiency, and conduct analysis to help customers maximize C.H. Robinson’s technology offerings. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The duties and responsibilities of this position consist of, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Manage and coordinate all project files for inbound and outbound truck, rail, sea, air, and barge transportation
  • Ensure that all shipment obligations are met, and that full client satisfaction is achieved
  • Support rate negotiations, carrier strategy and carrier selection
  • Create billing and project report templates for Project Logistics Coordinators
  • Build relationships with customer contacts at various levels
  • Ensure compliance with insurance requirements, reporting, and claim settlement
  • Address critical issues with client representatives and propose solutions
  • Manage customer expectations through the creation and utilization of SOPs, KPIs, and other account specific metrics
  • Conduct regular business reviews, using internal analytics and market intelligence to identify trends and opportunities for growth
  • Adhere to corporate communication and confidentiality policies
  • Design and execute solutions from quote to cash

QUALIFICATIONS

Required:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Minimum 5 years project logistics experience

Preferred:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
  • Ability to travel up to 20% (for offsite Project Logistics Specialist up to 100%)
  • Ability to work independently and provide onsite management of small to medium projects
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and deadline-driven office environment
  • Excellent verbal & written communication skills and phone etiquette
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively
  • Demonstrated customer service skills and follow up
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite of programs
  • Knowledge or coursework in Supply Chain, Logistics and or International Business
