For its location in Sofia, Bulgaria, DXC is looking for qualified candidates for the position of Associate Counsel (Generalist), who will be part of DXC’s global legal team. The primary role will be to provide legal advice, negotiate and internally govern contracts with minimum supervision in the IT services industry, as well as handle different legal aspects of corporate, compliance and employment matters.

Daily challenges:

  • Provide ongoing legal advice to account teams regarding legal and commercial implications of specific terms and conditions in contracts, including by negotiating, analyzing, drafting and reviewing IT contracts with respect to contracting and other commercial activities;
  • Maintain deadlines on deliverables and communicate on an ongoing basis with business partners and internal clients about contractual issues;
  • Work closely with DXC's pursuit teams on RFPs and new business opportunities;
  • Provide legal advice and support in connection with a range of contract types, including drafting and reviewing change control notices, small contract documents, legal research, and contract interpretation;
  • Provide legal advice and support on certain corporate law, as well as certain employment law matters.
  • Ensure legal compliance with various laws, rules and regulations;
  • Perform legal research when necessary to support the business;
  • Develop DXC's positions on various legal matters
     

eXperience and skills required:

  • Master`s degree in Law; (A Business or Law Degree from a European/ US University is an advantage)
  • Professional Fluency in English;
  • 0-3 years` experience in a law firm and/or a global corporation. Outsourcing/supplier experience would be considered an advantage;
  • Good understanding of basic commercial, corporate and employment law matters;
  • Good knowledge of the fundamental contract provisions in commercial contracts with some focus on IT/software licencing contracts.
