What you'll do…
The Manager, Strategic Initiatives will serve as the operational backbone and strategic connector for the Resold at Walmart program. Within the Strategic Initiatives (Central Category) team, you will focus on building the systems, insights, and processes that ensure the program runs smoothly across all categories and sellers.
In this role, you act as a mini Chief of Staff for the operational side of Resold - monitoring performance, surfacing risks, establishing processes, enabling cross-functional teams, and driving operational clarity in a fast-moving environment. You will own key operational metrics, support strategic decision-making, and build the mechanisms required to scale one of Walmart Marketplace’s most exciting growth programs.
If you are an analytical operator who thrives at the intersection of strategy and execution, you’ll excel in this role.
Main Roles & Responsibilities
Program Operations Leadership
Act as the operational hub for Resold, driving alignment, clarity, and execution across multiple partner teams.
Identify operational gaps, risks, and dependencies early — and coordinate solutions across Product, Operations, Site, Compliance, WFS, and other teams.
Create structure and predictability through operating mechanisms, program documentation, and internal workflows.
Performance Monitoring & Reporting
Own the program’s operational reporting: KPI tracking, dashboards, business reviews, and performance insights.
Analyze key trends related to program health, seller performance, assortment quality, and operational throughput.
Surface actionable insights that guide prioritization, resourcing, and leadership decision making.
Assortment, Catalog & Seller Health
Evaluate and monitor assortment coverage, catalog quality, defects, compliance signals, and seller performance.
Partner with category and seller teams to maintain high standards of quality and ensure a reliable customer experience.
Identify opportunities to strengthen selection and enhance program integrity.
Process Design, Optimization & Enablement
Build SOPs, workflows, and scalable processes that internal teams rely on to support the Resold program.
Improve and streamline cross-functional processes to reduce friction and increase accuracy and consistency.
Create enablement materials or documentation that empower teams to adopt new processes efficiently.
Governance, Readiness & Operational Cadence
Lead program readiness for new launches, transitions, and operational changes.
Establish governance mechanisms such as risk logs, issue trackers, operational checklists, and structured reviews.
Ensure teams are aligned and prepared ahead of milestones and key deliverables.
Cross-Functional Partnership & Influence
Collaborate closely with Product, Trust & Safety, Analytics, WFS, Merchandising, and other partners to ensure operational needs are prioritized.
Communicate updates, risks, and insights to leadership and stakeholder groups in a clear, structured way.
Translate high-level strategies into executable plans with defined owners, timelines, and KPIs.
You’ll sweep us off our feet if…
You’re a natural operator who brings clarity to ambiguity and anticipates issues before they arise.
You are highly analytical and enjoy building reporting, spotting patterns, and turning insights into actions.
You thrive in environments where you get to connect dots, coordinate teams, and keep complex workstreams on track.
You have experience in ecommerce, marketplace operations, or program management.
You build strong cross-functional relationships and influence outcomes even without direct authority.
You’re organized, meticulous, and maintain high standards of operational rigor.
You’re comfortable designing processes, frameworks, and SOPs that scale across teams.
You operate with urgency, curiosity, and a strong sense of ownership.
You’ll make an impact by…
Establishing the Operating System for Resold
Creating the routines, reporting, processes, and governance models that keep the program running successfully as it grows.
Driving Performance Visibility
Ensuring leadership and partner teams have timely, accurate insights into program health, seller performance, and operational risks.
Strengthening Program and Seller Health
Monitoring catalog quality, assortment coverage, and operational trends to fuel continuous improvement.
Enabling Teams to Move Faster
Coordinating across partners, removing roadblocks, and ensuring alignment to accelerate execution and impact.
Operating with Excellence
Bringing structure, communication rigor, and thoughtful decision support to a fast-paced and evolving program
