As a member of the Red Hat events team, you'll work in an environment that values collaboration, innovation, and diverse perspectives.  We’re looking for a marketing coordinator on our Global Event Experiences team to support virtual and in-person events and play an instrumental role in their success through the successful execution of marketing, promotion, and communications efforts. They will collect, analyze, and report on marketing promotional data, key takeaways, recommendations, etc. across all channels, including: event data, social media metrics, website data, blog performance, paid media metrics, web personalization, etc. to help inform strategic, data-driven decision making. They will work closely with sales and field marketing to enable our sellers in driving event registration, having conversations with their accounts, creating discount codes and tracking SKUs where applicable .

They will leverage their creativity and understanding of our technical audience to create and manage unique, high-impact event experiences.

The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in global event marketing and execution, promotional tactics, social media, research, digital advertising and general technology as this role requires you to amplify Red Hat’s message and brand awareness. They will have a track record of planning and executing marketing campaigns for virtual and in-person events, and should have excellent leadership, interpersonal, and written communication skills. They should have a strong desire to grow and evolve Red Hat's global event strategy, including audience acquisition.

Responsibilities

  • Create and manage event and marketing tracking IDs through Salesforce, with support from the Events Marketing Strategist. Help to track and evaluate the performance of event registration, attendance, offerings (i.e. sessions, booths, etc.), and promotions (i.e. emails, social media, etc.). Develop organized processes to share and socialize data throughout the company.

  • Collect, analyze, and report on marketing promotional data, key takeaways, recommendations, etc. across all channels, including: event data, social media metrics, website data, blog performance, paid media metrics, web personalization, etc. Socialize data and takeaways to Red Hat marketers and working teams. Continually evaluate event performance and metrics to convert into actionable improvements to overall event program

  • Improve event education and internal communications to fellow Red Hatters. Collaborate with the Events Marketing Strategist to plan, build, and execute internal comms and updates through building presentation slide decks, writing email announcements, sharing creative assets and resources, answering questions, etc.

  • Help to deliver superb sales enablement. Assistance in enablement planning + timelines, comms, reminders, and regular update meetings. Help respond to emails and execute enablement tools like building email templates, keeping assets updated in folders, and drafting reminder comms to sales teams. Manage the SKU process. 

  • Manage the creation, reviews, and approval process for assets (graphics, copy, etc.) across promotional tactics like web, email, and social media. Help guide kick-off discussions with working teams and stakeholders. Outline expectations, net-new ideas, and goals for any given milestone or request. See the request is executed, promoted as seen fit, and tracked properly.  

  • Work with global cross-functional teams (product management, marketing, sales, internal agency) to ensure event messaging, deliverables, post event analysis, and tactics are executed according to strategy

  • Support virtual and in-person event execution as needed. 

What we're looking for

  • 1-3  years experience in marketing, promotions or communications (event or technology experience a plus)

  • Familiar with marketing technology, marketing operation tools & tactics

  • Experience with planning and executing marketing campaigns

  • Comfortable with data and data analysis

  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to comfortably lead group discussions and meetings with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and external vendors alike

  • Extremely detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving skills

  • Strong project management skills and ability to successfully manage multiple events simultaneously

  • Broad experience with marketing campaign tactics

  • Self-starter who is a team player and relationship builder 

  • Must be able to travel as needed, work occasional nights and weekends; up to 30%, both internationally and domestically

  • Ability to lift up to 30 pounds


 

ADDITIONAL HELPFUL SKILLS

  • Familiar with using a CRM and marketing tools (i.e. Salesforce, Tableau, Vivastream, etc.)

  • Good with spreadsheets + data

  • Good writer (for writing promo emails, social content, etc.)

  • Customer-centric, user-experience focused

  • Passion for processes + organization, some project management skills

  • Creative, visual, artistic (for creative reviews, ideation, brainstorms)

  • Helpful, willing/wanting to learn with a positive attitude

The salary range for this position is $60,830.00 - $94,240.00. Actual offer will be based on your qualifications.

Pay Transparency

Red Hat determines compensation based on several factors including but not limited to job location, experience, applicable skills and training, external market value, and internal pay equity. Annual salary is one component of Red Hat’s compensation package. This position may also be eligible for bonus, commission, and/or equity. For positions with Remote-US locations, the actual salary range for the position may differ based on location but will be commensurate with job duties and relevant work experience.
