Flutter Studios – PMO Lead  

 

The role: 

 

We are looking for a Programme Manager to join our Flutter Studios team in Cluj, on a 12 month fixed term contract. The role will be responsible for creating and developing Flutter Studios PMO standards, in partnership with Flutter Studios Technology function, and will work closely with Project & Programme Managers to ensure standards are followed, reports are prepared with appropriate level of content and quality, in alignment with overarching Flutter Studios transformation programme plans.  

 

The Programme Manager will play a pivotal role in ensuring robust governance and assurance, supporting the delivery of strategic deliverables. 

 

What you’ll be doing: 

 

This role requires an analytical, adaptive thinker with the ability to exert influence without authority. You’ll be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, able to demonstrate initiative and consider practical ways to solve problems. 

Responsibilities include:

  • Lead the design and implementation of common programme / project management methodology, standards and tools to drive and facilitate the successful delivery of Flutter Studios programmes and projects, ensuring alignment with divisional practice where possible.

  • Evolve and manage delivery frameworks to drive best practice and standardisation, ensuring all projects / programmes adhere to best practices and standard approaches during each phase of the delivery lifecycle.

  • Evolve and manage reporting frameworks against delivery priorities and key programmes / projects.

  • Develop and maintain programme / project artefacts.

  • Define and document procedures in accordance with agreed methodology.

  • Establish benefits realisation reporting and tracking.

  • Hold Programme & Project Managers accountable, escalating where appropriate.

  • Support the Head of Programme Management & Head of Delivery with coordination and preparation of reports and analysis.

  • Establish resource management frameworks.

  • Building and nurturing relationships with all levels of stakeholder, being confident in getting stakeholder buy in where it might be challenging.

  • Collaborating with the wider Programme Management team and Flutter’s Programme Management community, with a focus on knowledge-sharing and continuous improvement.

Who we’re looking for:

  • Experience of managing a PMO or programmes / large projects encompassing PMO functions.

  • Expertise in programme and project management methodologies, approaches, tools and phases of the project life cycle.

  • A high degree of digital literacy including excellent knowledge of Confluence, Jira, Asana, PowerPoint and Excel and a willingness and skill to learn new tools quickly.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a ‘can-do’ approach to identify practical and pragmatic solutions.

  • Experienced in stakeholder management, supported by excellent verbal and written communication skills with a style that can flex according to the audience and medium.

  • Experienced in building excellent working relationships.

  • Structured thinking and a strong ability to shape stakeholder decision-making.

  • Recognised Programme or Project Management certification (PMP, Prince2 or MSP).

  • Excellent report and presentation producing skills, experience with McKinsey Presentation Techniques is considered a plus.
