The Agile Transformation Lead is a highly visible and impactful position that will serve to shepherd GFT’s technical organization through a multi-year modern agile transformation. Along the way you will work with our nascent agile delivery teams and existing team of Agile Coaches to build proven industry practices and scalable processes for agile product delivery. In addition, you will coach our delivery teams to enable continuous improvement, provide transparency for agile transformation risks and overall progress to stakeholders, and act as a change agent to reinforce the agile mindset shift.     

 

Responsibilities: 

  • Effect change by acting as a guide for agile teams and programs during GFT’s multi-year agile transformation  

  • Partner with stakeholders, existing Agile Coaches, and functional leaders define and execute upon strategies for adopting agile ways of working  

  • Perform hands-on coaching activities for your teams and programs, including but not limited to:  

  • Advise leaders on how to organize, mobilize, and launch agile teams,  

  • Influence process execution by guiding product owners and mentoring team members,  

  • Drive continuous process improvement strategies enabling efficient, effective, sustainable and measurable delivery  

  • Understanding of Citi’s risk goal to coach teams to reduce through test automation, minimizing technical debt and increasing quality 

  • Report on patterns and anti-patterns in intra-team agile dynamics:  

  • Identify patterns for reinforcement and opportunities for team growth  

  • Establish feedback loops enabling trust, psychological safety, transparency and customer feedback 

  • Design and lead workshops on the pragmatics of Lean-Agile values, principles, and practices  

  • Collaborate with our client organizations to adopt sustainable Lean-Agile capabilities and processes

  • Coach and mentor more junior colleagues in agile values and principles. 

 

Qualifications : 

  • 10+ years working in an agile culture with deep understanding of Scrum, Kanban and Lean Agile frameworks

  • 7+ years working in an agile environment as a coach 

  • 7+ years working in an agile environment as a Product Owner or Scrum Master 

  • Demonstrated experience coaching at least 2 agile teams concurrently, through a multiyear agile transformation   

  • Experience with large-scale enterprise agile transformation with demonstrated experience with Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) or other scaling frameworks and deep understanding of agile values and principles  

  • Demonstrated experience facilitating collaborative sessions, managing customer expectations, and ensuring work is aligned with the enterprise goals and objectives.  

  • Demonstrated experience in coaching to common practices to reduce risk with a deep understanding of compliance requirements for a bank 

  • Understanding of the technical enablers of agile delivery and how they operate within an agile organization (e.g., CICD, DevSecOps)  

  • Expertise with agile tool suites including Atlassian, Agility Health Radar, MS Teams, or similar agile management tooling  

  • Experience with agile testing and technical engineering techniques (TDD, BDD) and DevSecOps tools 

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • A passion for learning new technologies, and a desire for personal growth, through self-study, formal classes, or on-the-job training 

  • Active leadership in the agile community 

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience

  • Scrum Master, and Product Owner certification 

  • Agile Coach certifications
