Business Analyst - Accounts Payable Automation


 

Remitra is a GPO and ERP-agnostic, cloud-based platform that streamlines financial processes for health systems and their suppliers. Maintaining low operating costs is critical to the mission of healthcare providers. Yet back-office operations like purchasing, invoicing processing and paying suppliers are frequently overlooked as opportunities to lower costs and drive revenue. For the first time, the entire source-to-settle process can be automated with a single platform!

What you will be doing:

The Business Analyst within the Remitra product segment is the translational expert; has some degree of subject matter expertise and is the liaison between product management and other support groups such as development, user experience, and business stakeholders.  They are responsible for understanding the business requirements defined by product management and, in conjunction with user experience personnel, translating those requirements into clear, unambiguous, and concise documents that are used as the basis for software development design and quality assurance testing.  Tasks required to fulfill job responsibilities include the ability to elicit, analyze, validate, specify, verify, prioritize, author, and manage detailed requirement documents.  These documents support the required workflow such as functional documents, stories, and sprint ready directions. 

This position involves tight collaboration with the associated Technical Product Managers is essential to ensuring complete execution and success of the product line. This position is an integral member of the product team consisting of the BA, the User Experience (UX) lead, Product Development lead and other necessary functional leads as appropriate.

Key Responsibilities

Responsibility #1 –

Business Requirements Analysis

  • Incorporates and creates detailed requirements, use cases, test cases and meaningful stories to meet business requirements and which supports the business vision.

  • Works very tightly with UX personnel during requirements creation to ensure alignment of wireframes and UX designs meet business requirements and development constraints.

  • Translates high level Business requirements to actionable stories.

  • Assists Sr BA in cross functional business development, requirement reuse across all product and business spectrum.

  • Works to gain commitment from stakeholders and team members.

  • Can negotiate with stakeholders under the guidance of the Technical Product Manager (TPM) or Sr BA.

  • Helps manage requirement traceability information and track requirement status throughout the process.

  • Identify and communicate potential process improvements to the TPM.

  • Is proactively working towards becoming a subject matter expert.

Responsibility #2 –

Product Development, QA & Testing

  • Participate in effort to acquire estimates from iteration team

  • Works closely with QA team to ensure QA requirements and needs are met to allow detailed and thorough product testing can be accomplished.

  • Works with Sr. BA or Technical Product Director (TPD) to manage product backlog.

  • Helps manage development issues and ensuring the escalation of necessary issues to the TPD.

  • Maintain a good understanding of product vision to assure current stories are formulated in a manner to lay the most effective groundwork for future functionality

  • Assists with coordinating successful completion of UAT. 

Responsibility #3 –

Data Analysis

  • Assess and validate integration/solutions and data integrity/quality

  • Create data mapping and data flow diagrams

  • Assess the impact of data and software changes on the current and future business

Responsibility #4 -

Knowledge Transfer

  • Executes proper documentation and effective knowledge transfer exists for all parties involved including development, marketing, product support, implementation, and education

  • Facilitates and conducts meetings and interactions of necessary support groups.

  • Acts as the point of collaboration to assure all members of the product team stay in sync, communicate effectively, and understand the current feature set, goal, and future vision

  • Be the user advocate on the development and product management teams.

Work Experience:

Years of Applicable Experience - 4 or more years

Education:

High School Diploma or GED (Required)




 

Preferred Qualifications

Skills:

  • Agile SCRUM software lifecycle Product Management

  • Requirement Analysis

  • Data Analysis

  • Strong written and verbal communication / stakeholder management skills

Experience:

  • Accounts payable and/or financial systems experience

  • 3+ years' experience in a Business Analyst position

  • SQL and data modeling concepts

  • Power BI, Microsoft Power Platform

  • Technical Product Management

  • Process automation experience

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree

Physical Demands: Sedentary: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally, and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves remaining stationary most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if movement is required only occasionally, and all other sedentary criteria are met.


 

Premier’s compensation philosophy is to ensure that compensation is reasonable, equitable, and competitive in order to attract and retain talented and highly skilled employees. Premier’s internal salary range for this role is $64,000 - $118,000. Final salary is dependent upon several market factors including, but not limited to, departmental budgets, internal equity, education, unique skills/experience, and geographic location. Premier utilizes a wide-range salary structure to allow base salary flexibility within our ranges.
