Leidos is currently seeking a Senior Systems Administrator II to support the NASA shared Service Center. The Systems Administrator role provides support for implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of Information Technology (IT) systems. Tasks include management of IT system, infrastructure, and any processes related to these systems.
The SA will:
- Provide expert-level systems administration support for IT Enterprise systems, including standalone and Microsoft Active Directory member servers.
- Expert knowledge in creating and deploying Group Policy Objects across enterprise system.
- Research and deploy new technologies to ensure the environment is highly secure, highly available, and high performing.
- Provide support to IT systems including day-to-day operations and monitoring and problem resolution for all client/server/storage/network devices.
- Provide support for the escalation and communication of status to agency management and internal customers.
- Design, configure and manage Virtual Environments, Linux and Windows operating systems and installs/loads operating system software, troubleshoots, maintains integrity and configures network components along with implementing operating systems enhancements to improve reliability and performance.
- Design, build, configure and deploy Storage Are network (SAN) volumes to virtual and hardware systems.
- Manage Disaster Recovery Operations, including configuration and monitoring of backup policies on on-premise equipment and in Cloud Storage Services.
- Build server baselines compliant with NASA Cybersecurity policies and requirements.
- Provide support to other system administrators including troubleshooting, configuration control, and cybersecurity compliance.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Design, install, configure, and maintain servers, storage systems, and network devices ensuring high availability and optimal performance.
- Design, test, and migrate file shares to Microsoft Distributed File System. Create Namespaces to mirror the organization directorates and sub-directories.
- Responsible for Tier I/II troubleshooting of hardware, operating system and application incidents by researching, documenting, resolving and/or escalating incidents to external vendor support.

- Create technical drawings using Visio and other tools to include network, Virtual Infrastructure, and data center sub-systems, such as Brocade fiber network.
- Manage system backups to ensure successful operations, perform file or system restores as required.

- Deploy security configurations to ensure compliance to NASA cybersecurity policies.
- Support application developers with updates and configurations in Development and Test environments.
Basic Qualifications:
- U.S. Citizen with ability to earn a position of Public Trust.
- Bachelor Degree in an IT-related field and 1-3 years of relevant experience in an IT enterprise environment OR relevant years of experience will be accepted/considered in lieu of degree.
- Proficient with managing Windows and Linux servers and server applications, such as web services.
- Must be able to lift minimum of 40 lbs.
Preferred Qualifications:
- B.S. in computer-related field preferred.
- 1-3 years of IT experience.
- Knowledge of ServiceNow support a plus.
- Expert Knowledge of Virtual Infrastructure, SANs, and backup and recovery systems a plus.

Pay Range:
Pay Range $48,100.00 - $86,950.00
