The Job At-A-Glance:

Q2 is seeking an experienced Manager, Product Management to coordinate our money management product suite including financial wellness and money movement solutions. You will be responsible for developing and managing the roadmap and strategic planning for an industry-changing fintech platform and driving solutions that meet the needs of consumer and small business users. You will be working at a company whose mission is to build strong and diverse communities by strengthening their financial intuitions within the consumer banking market. This position will be responsible for becoming an expert on our customers’ needs and managing consumer digital banking solutions that meet business objectives in a flexible, collaborative, and rapidly changing environment. It requires a highly motivated and focused individual capable of communicating, establishing credibility, and driving high performing innovative teams.

In this position you will be responsible for understanding US payments ecosystem, the role that Q2’s digital banking offering plays, and brining to market the best of class money movement offerings to Q2’s customers and their consumer and small business digital banking users.

You understand the cross-section of money movement, fraud, and reliability and strive to reduce and mitigate any money financial impacts to our FIs. You are well versed in industry solutions related to payments and money movement. You are passionate about assisting consumer users effectively manage their personal finances and have a solid foundation in personal financial management concepts. You approach business opportunities with an unwavering sense of optimism and are passionate about great products. You are skilled at balancing user experience and time to market. You develop sound business cases informed by market and customer research and drive for increasing platform value with the right partners. You will be responsible for working with the external product teams as well as the platform product teams to validate business cases and influence roadmaps to deliver impactful integrations. You possess experience in Product Management related to enterprise software development best practices.

In addition, you take a client-centric approach to product management and have demonstrated results, driving rapid modifications and initial concepts to new and existing products. Although you will work in the Product group, you will continually work with, build, and influence cross-departmental workgroups with your outstanding written and verbal communication skills.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Drive roadmap and product strategy 

  • Close partnership with engineering to understand technical trade-offs and architecture to optimally influence product design

  • Close partnership with support, observability, and other product leads to analyze and understand the root cause of money movement issueLead and manage the consumer digital product team of product managers and product owners

  • Monitor and impact key metrics and efficiencies for a suite of product 

  • Provide guidance and mentorship to product team on the product lifecycle  

  • Assist, train and grow employees and evangelize best practices 

  • Proactively identify opportunities for new trends/features/products 

  • Perform research and provide industry expertise to be utilized in product business cases 

  • Engage with product development teams to ensure new feature development meets market expectation 

  • Establish and track business cases and financials 

  • Assess risk of value, feasibility, and usability as key factors to product success 

  • Communicate value and vision effectively-being confident with presentation skills and establishing credibility with an audience 

  • Engage with clients and prospects through Relationship and Sales teams as needed to present and discuss roadmap and strategy 

  • Build effective relationships with others in Product, Engineering, Sales, Marketing, Delivery, and Support 

  • Champion end-user experience by actively seek to integrate human interaction best practices and best in class front end design into each feature you build 

  • Work with Product Owners to ensure all security, availability, confidentiality, and privacy policies and controls are adhered to

  • Work with the Release Management team to develop and deliver release documentation and training materials for internal groups on key functional aspects of products under your ownership

Bring Your Passion, Do What You Love. Here’s What We’re Looking For:

  • Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree in (relevant degree) and a minimum of 6 years experience in the banking and/or payments industry; or an advanced degree with 4+ years of experience. Typically requires 1-2 years managing and developing employees.

  • Demonstrable previous experience in software product management 

  • Strong team leadership qualities with proven experience building, growing, motivating and mentoring high performance teams 

  • Equivalent combination of education and experience acceptable 

  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills 

  • Strong teamwork, organization, and problem resolution skills 

  • Excel and data analysis skills 

  • Self-starter with proven ability to deliver results with minimal assistance is a must
