Upbound is seeking a highly organized and dynamic Event Marketer to join our Marketing team. This role is ideal for someone passionate about creating impactful experiences that drive brand engagement and generate leads. The Event Marketer will oversee the planning and execution of webinars, field marketing events, and corporate events, ensuring each initiative aligns with our marketing goals and delivers measurable results. You’ll have the opportunity to be creative, analytical and data-driven (with an emphasis on organized processes) for event logistics and reporting.

In this role you will: 

  • Plan, promote, and execute webinars to educate and engage target audiences.
  • Collaborate with content, product, and sales teams to develop compelling webinar topics and secure speakers.
  • Manage webinar platforms (e.g., Zoom, On24) to ensure seamless execution.
  • Track registration, attendance, and engagement metrics; analyze results to improve future performance.
  • Organize and execute regional in-person events such as roadshows, meetups, and lunch-and-learns.
  • Partner with sales and regional teams to identify key markets and target attendees.
  • Coordinate event logistics, including venue selection, catering, signage, and on-site setup.
  • Manage follow-up strategies to convert attendees into leads and customers.
  • Lead the planning and execution of larger-scale corporate events, including trade shows, conferences, and company-hosted summits.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align event objectives with overall marketing strategies.
  • Handle vendor relationships, budgets, and timelines to ensure events are delivered on schedule and within scope.

You are a good fit if you...

  • Have at least 2 years of experience in marketing with at least one year in events marketing.
  • Love to plan. You’re a details person. You bring passionate for organized processes that are well tracked and well managed. 
  • Have great communication skills and natural leadership. Working closely with the sales team, vendors, executives and open source community leaders does not phase you in the slightest. 
  • Understand marketing attribution, metrics and reporting. You’ll be responsible in ensuring events are tied to business objectives. 

It’s a plus if you...

  • Have experience with Lead generation.
  • Have experience in cloud infrastructure and/or open source technologies and related events. 
  • Know Hubspot, On24, Zoominfo and similar marketing technology. 
  • Have worked in a remote/distributed startup before and can bring that experience to bear at Upbound.
