As a System Compatibility Engineer in the DRAM Engineering Group at Micron, you will join a team responsible for early validation of our DRAM products on our customers' newest processors. This role will include computer system-level failure analysis, characterization, and qualification of our products.
You will be running DRAM products through stress test, crafting experiments, analyzing and interpreting data, debugging fails, developing custom tools, and communicating data to customers both inside and outside Micron.
A good understanding of computer architecture and memory operation is essential.

To accomplish these responsibilities, you will use a variety of equipment (oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, signal generators, multi-meters, etc.). You will work with other specialists within the Systems Compatibility Group as well as multi-functional teams including Application Engineering Groups, Product Engineering, Return Material Authorization (RMA), and throughout Micron.

On occasion, we may need to travel to carry out responsibilities at a customer site or for development with our partner companies. Lastly, the seniority level offered will be based on a combination of experience and education.

What’s Encouraged Daily:

  • Lead Micron Product Qualifications with Internal and External Customers

  • Build and develop validation strategies for new or existing technologies which may include developing system test methodologies and memory diagnostic tools

  • Design and Implement Automation for System Level testing

  • Perform Computer and System Characterization and Failure Analysis (FA)

  • Collaborating with system enablers outside of Micron

How To Qualify:

  • Experience/Understanding of hardware: X86, ARM, Computer, System, DRAM, Intel, AMD

  • Experience/Understanding of equipment: Oscilloscope, logic analyzer, motherboard

  • Experience/Understanding Software: Python, Linux, SQL, C#, Golang

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in electrical engineering or computer engineering

  • Role level dependent upon candidate skill and experience
