What you'll do

As our Workforce Strategy Workstream Lead, you’ll lead the mobilization of a number of our workforce strategy workstreams, taking end-to-end ownership of scoping, completing diagnostics and designing and engaging SMEs external suppliers as well as driving delivery and adoption, measuring success with clear OKRs in line with strategic considerations and budgets. You’ll prepare, manage and provide reporting on all project plans, controls and resource plans.

You’ll build and maintain a positive working relationship with stakeholders across multiple franchises, domains and functions and at different levels of hierarchy, bringing thought leadership and strategic, subject matter and programmatic expertise. This will be strengthened and fulfilled by partnering and connecting SMEs in GCOO to ensure the leverage of and alignment with bank wide capabilities in DX while informing and contributing to development of bank wide propositions. 

You’ll also be:

  • Empowering and leading a large team, often in multiple geographies, through the project lifecycle
  • Identifying, tracking, managing and mitigating any project risks, assumptions, issues and dependencies
  • Leading and defining a project initiation document and making sure that the solution clearly supports and is aligned to our strategic goals
  • Tracking and reporting project costs and making sure that the project is completed in allotted budgets
  • Making sure that all project deliverables satisfy the requirements and that they adhere to the agreed governance framework
  • Leading a team of external suppliers, working closely with supply chain services for the appropriate supplier selection from our framework
  • Making sure that activities are in place to adequately prepare the business and engage all the appropriate stakeholders effectively to enable change to be implemented and handed over

The skills you'll need

To thrive in this role, you’ll ideally need to demonstrate complex people programme related project management experience in a Technology or IT function, as well as in change management. You should also have 16 years of experience of delivering strategic projects that support a business strategy and its growth agenda. 

You’ll also need:

  • Strong organisational skills and astute attention to detail
  • Excellent interpersonal and collaborative skills
  • Workforce strategy knowledge or expertise 
  • The ability to use Agile methodology and associated toolsets and methodologies as well as Waterfall methods where required
