SAP IS Retail- Master Data Consultant

Team and Position Summary:

Retail and Emerging Tech: This is the team which builds reusable technologies that aid in acquiring customers, onboarding and empowering merchants besides ensuring a seamless experience for both these stakeholders. They also optimize tariffs and assortment, adhering to the Walmart philosophy - Everyday Low Cost. In addition to ushering in affordability, they also create personalized experiences for customers the omnichannel way, across all channels - in-store, on the mobile app and websites.

What You’ll Do

• Through this role you have an opportunity to develop intuitive software that meets and exceeds the needs of the customer and the company.
• You also get to collaborate with team members to develop best practices and client requirements for the software.
• You will show your skills in analysing and testing programs/products before formal launch to ensure flawless performance
• Troubleshooting coding problems quickly and efficiently will offer you a chance to grow your skills in a high-pace, high-impact environment.
• Software security is of prime importance and by developing programs that monitor sharing of private information, you will be able to add tremendous credibility to your work
• You will also be required to seek ways to improve the software and its effectiveness.

What You’ll Bring

• Minimum 5-6 years of consulting experience in SAP IS Retail.
• Conceptual and hands on knowledge on below objects in SAP Retail

  Article master (including structured articles in Retail)

  Site Master

  Merchandise categories and hierarchies

  Characteristics and Characteristic profiles

  Listing and assortments

  Customer and vendor master

  Retail pricing and promotions

  End to End P2P cycle

  Integration with F&R

  Condition techniques

  Intercompany and Intracompany transfers

  Integration with EWM

• Be able to provide solutions to business challenges- standard or bespoke both.
• Be able to understand overall retail processes such as Replenishment, Procurement, merchandise distribution, pricing and promotions, Omnichannel retailing, interfaces to various peripheral systems.
• Extensive experience in analysis, design, development, testing, implementation, and documentation
• You will support the local and global community, in developing functional designs, making configuration changes, and testing SAP application developments.
• Ability to read, interpret and administer PRDs, convert them to FSDs. You will work closely with developers and play a major role in translating the Custom requirements.
• Co-ordinate functional requirement gathering and designing activities across multiple teams, Information Technology Groups and business stakeholders to collaboratively develop effective solutions.
• Leverage Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools and techniques to streamline business processes, optimize decision-making, and enhance operational efficiency across retail functions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for AI integration, including predictive analytics for replenishment, intelligent automation of procurement, and data-driven insights for pricing and promotions.
• Stay updated with emerging AI trends and technologies, ensuring the organization remains at the forefront of innovation in retail and SAP application development.
