Knowledge: 

  • Manage human capital resources and lead the quality assurance and metric architecture projects: including developing and monitoring project plans and budgets.
  • Provide innovative direction and guidance on reports, communications, and training materials and ensure recommendations are aligned with customer/organization needs and capabilities.
  • Utilize standard procedures and policies when selecting methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for obtaining results.
  • Leads staff through the reaction and maintenance of the overall roadmap and quality assurance direction for both internal and new product systems, providing insight as needed.
  • Develop solutions for identified internal and/or external business challenges.
  • Requires depth and specialized breadth of expertise in own area and knowledge of related areas.

Job Complexity:

  • Execute project plans and performance requirements, ensuring the team has appropriate resources to achieve project goals.
  • Provide guidance on routine to highly complex problems to subordinates.
  • Follow processes and operational policies in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.
  • Contribute to the achievement of QA and metrics architecture objectives and IT objectives.
  • Work on issues of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of a variety of factors, including an understanding of current business trends.
  • Be able to Interact plus answer questions from senior customer stakeholders confidently and present / elaborate on the the companies QA strategy and team processes that ensure our high quality delivery

Supervisor/ Mentoring:

  • Lead functional teams.
  • Frequently interact with subordinate supervisors, customers, and/or functional peer group managers involving matters between functional areas.
  • Developing Project and People management skills; how to create an inclusive team, bias awareness and management of bias, how to be an effective coach.

Tech Skills:

  • Expert in Java and Cucumber test frameworks
  • Demonstrable knowledge of test framework architectures and sound technical decision making
  • Proven experience as a QA Technical Lead or similar role
  • Strong knowledge of testing methodologies, tools, and best practices
  • Experience with test management and defect tracking tools (e.g., JIRA)
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Has in-depth knowledge of QA and metrics architecture processes and strategies and an in-depth understanding of S&P global businesses to best provide support.
  • Has master-level knowledge of using recognized test methodologies and techniques, risk-based testing, test early/test often, considers using experience and user's business domain.
  • Has proven ability to work with one or more high-level programming languages or technologies and master level understanding the SDLC and agile methodologies.
  • Has mastered abilities in one or more test frameworks or tools used.  Also master level of developing effective design and use of different types of testing.
  • Significant past experience with test automation and able to give direction , devise a robust QA strategy for the product and implement it with the team.
  • Has mastered test management and applies appropriate change and environment management and accurate reporting on software quality.

  • Communicates complex concepts, anticipates potential objections, and influences others to adopt a different point of view.
  • Proactively invests time to build and live the culture.  Supports and develops others' cultural awareness.

Experience:

  • 12+ years of related experience with Bachelors's, Master or similar advanced degree and related experience preferred. Management experience required.
