Snowflake seeks an experienced Public Sector Counsel – U.S. Federal to support a wide range of complex Federal Government, Department of Defense and Intelligence Community transactional matters in the U.S. You will be joining a growing, world-class legal team, reporting directly to Snowflake’s Senior Director, Associate General Counsel of Legal. This is a high visibility role with ample opportunities for professional growth as our company rapidly scales. This is an in-person role that can be based in Atlanta, GA or McLean, VA. This is not a remote position.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Have extensive knowledge and experience negotiating complex transactional SaaS, Supply Schedule/Framework Agreements, Partner Agreements, PS&T/SOW and other types of agreements that support the company’s government sales cycles
  • Build and support Snowflake’s Public Sector – U.S. Federal strategy, compliance and contracting policies and practices 
  • Work well in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment

REQUIREMENTS:

  • 5+ years of U.S. Public Sector transaction experience, preferably a combination of law firm and in-house experience at a high-growth enterprise SaaS company, negotiating various types of SaaS contracts, including government procurement vehicles
  • Excellent negotiation and drafting skills 
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements and export control
  • Exceptional organizational, project management, and prioritization skills
  • The ability to think and execute both strategically and tactically
  • Outstanding written and oral communications skills
  • The ability to work with a wide variety of people, at all levels in the organization, in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrated commitment and alignment with our Snowflake values
  • Service-oriented, professional and strong integrity
  • A JD degree from a leading school
  • Bar membership sufficient to practice in-house in the relevant jurisdiction
  • Security Clearance
