The Legal Team furthers Neuralink’s mission by advising on and unblocking critical business and legal issues and driving progress. Job Description and Responsibilities:

We are looking for a skilled and experienced commercial lawyer to join Neuralink’s small but mighty Legal team! You will advise on transactions supporting the multidimensional teams at Neuralink, including engineering, preclinical, procurement, finance, clinical, construction, and operations. Our ideal candidate operates with a relentless sense of urgency, appropriately balances and clearly communicates legal and business risks, loves learning and deeply engaging with deep tech, and shares our passion in restoring autonomy to those with unmet medical needs. The job responsibilities will include:

  • Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a wide range of agreements, including but not limited to, purchase agreements, partnership agreements, license agreements, and clinical trial agreements
  • Working closely with internal stakeholders to understand their business objectives and providing strategic legal advice to help them achieve their goals
  • Advising stakeholders on business risks in complex transactions and compliance with relevant laws and regulations
  • Assisting in the structuring and negotiation of complex business transactions
  • Preparing and reviewing corporate governance documents
  • Assisting in the development and implementation of internal processes and operational efficiency
  • Managing multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
  • Engaging in corporate development and policy strategy 

Required Qualifications:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
  • Bar membership in good standing
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in a law firm or in-house setting
  • Strong understanding of commercial agreements, intellectual property issues, and privacy law
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with both legal and non-legal teams
  • Self-motivated team player who can also work independently
  • Highly responsive and able to proactively and pragmatically resolve urgent situations
  • Demonstrated rigor and problem-solving skills
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
  • Evidence of exceptional ability

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Prior experience with Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act (FD&C)

Pay Transparency:

Based on California law, the following details are for California individuals only:

California base salary range: 
$130,000$213,000 USD
For Full-Time Employees, your compensation package will include two major components: salary and equity. Guidance on salary for this role will be determined according to the level at which you enter the organization, with the ability to gain more over time as you contribute. In addition, Full-Time Employees are eligible for the following benefits listed below.
