About the Role:
As a Certifications Compliance Program Manager, you'll be responsible for ensuring that our private label products meet the requirements of third-party certifiers and Whole Foods Market's own high standards. You will also play a critical role in maintaining our commitment to sourcing products that avoid bioengineered ingredients.

Key Responsibilities:
- Certification Expertise: Be the subject matter expert on third-party certifications for a diverse range of products, including food, supplements, cosmetics, and essentials.
- Compliance Management: Oversee the collection of necessary documents and ensure compliance with third-party certifier requirements.
- Organic Program Management: Ensure compliance with USDA National Organic Program requirements, coordinating records and audits.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with Quality Standards and Quality Assurance teams to integrate third-party certification requirements into our processes.
- Supplier Coordination: Work with suppliers and service providers to ensure adherence to our Sourced to Avoid Bioengineered Ingredients policy.
- Training and Development: Create and deliver training materials to educate team members and suppliers on compliance standards and policies.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree required.
- Experience: At least six years in regulatory compliance roles for consumer-packaged goods, with a minimum of two years in product certifications like Organic, Kosher, Non-GMO Project, Gluten Free, and Fair Trade.
- Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication, strong organizational abilities, proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), and familiarity with product lifecycle management systems.
- Preferred Experience: Familiarity with USDA National Organic Program regulations, USDA National Bioengineered Food Disclosure Standards, and experience with Fair Trade compliance.
