Counsel will be primary contract support for their assigned business unit with Financial Services. Counsel must understand the products and services sold under the agreements they manage. Counsel’s responsibilities will include handling all aspects of the contract lifecycle, including for non-disclosure agreements,  master services agreement, amendments, professional services agreements, and other commercial contracts.  Counsel must be comfortable supporting a business unit in a high-volume, fast paced contract negotiation environment.

What You'll Bring:

  • Juris Doctorate (JD) degree with 0 to 3 years ( Entry Level role) of experience as an attorney interpreting, negotiating, and drafting complex contracts and related documents
  • Strong work ethic with the demonstrated ability to prioritize competing demands and accomplish assignments in a timely and independent manner
  • Highly responsive, excellent interpersonal skills, high emotional intelligence (EQ), and service-oriented attitude
  • An interest in emerging technologies, a desire to solve complex problems and a curiosity to explore new ideas
  • The ability to build relationships with peers and leadership on all levels of the organization through excellent interpersonal and verbal/written communication skills
  • Outstanding organizational, analytical, and critical-thinking skills
  • A sense of humor; plays well with others; relationships matter to you.
  • Knowledge and understanding of GLBA, FCRA, and/or DDPA preferred but not required

Impact You'll Make:

  • Primary responsibility for reviewing, negotiating, and drafting complex commercial agreements including key customer, partner and vendor contracts in support of our Financial Services business,
  • Work collaboratively with internal cross-functional teams including privacy, sales/business development, compliance, information security, information technology, acquisition integration, operations, and product development.
  • Support business unit with legal research and analysis, including changes in the law, including data privacy laws, FCRA, GLBA, and other legal issues that may involve the company’s short or long-term strategic operations.
  • Successful candidates must be fast learning team players willing to work within a hard-working but relaxed and sociable team of attorneys, privacy and information security, and compliance professionals dedicated to the Financial Services business.

This is a hybrid position and involves regular performance of job responsibilities virtually as well as in-person at an assigned TU office location for a minimum of two days a week.
