Our Corporate Functions are made up of teams that support Expedia Group, including Employee Communications, Finance, Legal, People Team, Inclusion and Diversity, and Global Social Impact and Sustainability.

Traveler Business Team (TBT) is the B2C arm of Expedia Group. Our mission to deliver the most convenient, rewarding, and memorable ways for people to travel and explore the world. This division has responsibility to build and drive the growth of our global consumer business across our Expedia, Hotels.com, Vrbo, and Portfolio brands, and across all our lines of businesses including Hotels, Vacation Rentals, Air, Car, Packages, and Insurtech.


The Finance Manager will support the Vrbo brand, which is a trusted Vacation Rental expert for both the travelers and the partners. Vrbo has a strong presence in its targeted market segments and is well-positioned for future growth. The individual will closely partner with the Vrbo business leadership team and collaborate with other finance teams in TBT. This role will deliver high-quality detailed financial analysis, performance review insights, and help drive accurate financial forecasting and planning.

In this role, you will:  

  • Develop deep understanding of operational data and P&L drivers to influence informed decision making

  • Independently own reporting on regularly cadences (weekly, monthly) for performance reviews and forecasting

  • Consistently drive enhanced visibility into Vrbo performance via insightful and detailed analysis

  • Streamline financial reporting on an ongoing basis, with an emphasis on best practices and process automation

  • Partner closely with Vrbo business teams, Traveler Finance teams, and other Finance groups to understand performance, make recommendations, and ensure reporting and forecasting alignment

  • Lead topical ad-hoc analyses and deep dives to unpack risks and opportunities in the business

Experience and qualifications:  

  • 6+ years of Financial/FP&A experience with progressive responsibilities

  • Extremely organized and autonomous with the ability to work on and manage multiple projects within tight timelines

  • Strong tactical business skills and a passion for using data to drive better decision making

  • Comfortable and proficient working with multiple disparate data sources 

  • Ability to lead and influence decisions across various internal functions

  • Demonstrated understanding of financials and forecasting processes

  • Ability to mine, interpret, and present data in understandable formats to financial and non-financial audiences

  • Advanced modeling, reporting and forecasting skills with solid experience in Excel and Hyperion

  • An inquisitive individual who is comfortable with and has a demonstrated ability to thrive in a very fast paced environment

The total cash range for this position in Seattle is $110,500.00 to $155,000.00. Employees in this role have the potential to increase their pay up to $177,000.00, which is the top of the range, based on ongoing, demonstrated, and sustained performance in the role.

Starting pay for this role will vary based on multiple factors, including location, available budget, and an individual’s knowledge, skills, and experience. Pay ranges may be modified in the future.
