Ferrovial Energy, is a business unit of Ferrovial, which is listed simultaneously on 3 stock markets: USA (Nasdaq), the Netherlands (Euronext Amsterdam), and Spain (IBEX 35).

The Energy business unit is created with the objective of promoting the transition to a more sustainable and clean economy. We are present in Ferrovial core markets, and our focus is to provide innovative solutions for the development, construction and operation of renewable energy generation, storage and transmission infrastructures. We also offer energy efficiency solutions for both, public and private clients.

The position will report to the Energy Solutions Director in Australia who is building a team to deliver the growth plans in the country.

Mission

The Operations & Delivery Manager will play a pivotal role in the successful implementation of Ferrovial's EPC Energy business plan in Australia. This role is crucial for navigating the growth plans in the Australian market, particularly in securing a Transmission and/or Renewable Generation Contract for 2025. The position aims to enhance local market knowledge and support the future stages of EPC contract development in Australia.

Functions

  • Project Management: Oversee all phases of the project lifecycle from tender to delivery, ensuring alignment with business objectives and timelines.
  • Construction Leadership: Lead and manage large construction teams, driving the execution of project delivery strategies to ensure successful completion.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, procurement, and logistics teams to facilitate seamless project execution and address any challenges that arise.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Serve as the primary point of contact for stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and coordination across all project phases.
  • Compliance: Ensure all project activities comply with local regulations and Ferrovial's standards for safety and quality.
  • Reporting: Provide regular updates to Managing Direction of Ferrovial Energy in Australia, on project progress, risks, and opportunities.

Requirements

  • Education: A degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Certifications: Relevant certifications in project management (e.g., PMP) and safety (e.g., OSHA) are highly desirable.
  • Experience: Proven track record in managing large-scale construction projects, particularly in the energy sector.
  • Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of EPC contracts and the Australian market, with a focus on Transmission and Renewable Generation.
  • Leadership Skills: Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate diverse teams to achieve project goals.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, capable of addressing complex project challenges.
  • Flexibility: Willingness to travel and adapt to the dynamic needs of the project and the business.
