Job Summary

Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager you will determine the quantity and order date for materials needed to meet the master production schedule. Initiate supplier schedules or material releases.

You will:

  • Assure supply of ingredients and packaging by determining the quantity and quality based on production needs
  • Obtain material quotes for new/modified materials
  • Arrange for deliveries to provide a smooth flow of materials consistent with quality considerations
  • Assure implementation of marketing, R&D, and operations as they relate to materials for assigned facilities and indirect materials
  • Implement opportunity to reduce working capital associated with material inventories
  • Monitor vendor quality and service performance
  • Champion corrective actions and quality improvement projects with quality assurance, R&D, and vendors
  • Follow company policies, including Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), all company safety procedures, and compliance with all OSHA rules and regulations, is required.

You have:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain or related degree
  • 3+ years of experience required
  • SAP experience

You must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. You will be exposed to a noisy environment that varies from hot to cold in temperature.
