JOB SCOPE & PURPOSE

The Director, Delivery is responsible for managing overall project and resource planning and management for database system development and production for a portfolio of accounts.  He/she ensures acceptable project management practices and the proper change control of key project assets, i.e. requirements, product specifications, contracts, product code, documentation, etc. The Director, Delivery must be able to see the big picture in order to understand the overall solution (i.e., components, operation processes, etc.), its value to the client and be involved in the many details of the project.  

The Director, Delivery is a central client contact, providing regular status updates, managing change requests and communicating any solution issues/impacts.  He/she must be extremely comfortable working with individuals at all levels within and outside the organization. Motivating team members and communicating expectations to project members is crucial to project success.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

General Administration

  • Meets client commitments on-time and provides high quality client centric service
  • Effectively manages the day-to-day team activities to achieve portfolio and Targetbase objectives
  • Maintains a high quality technology solution as evidenced by solution audits and results
  • Identifies solution improvements and efficiency to benefit clients and Targetbase, communicates changes with client/team and manages the implementation of changes within the production schedule
  • Effectively coordinates resources external to direct team
  • Understands and implements strong program management practices (Change Requests, Issue Management, Risk Management, Decision Tracking)
  • Communicates status, issues and risks effectively to client team members, Vice President, Delivery and client specific staff
  •  Manages the P&L and is responsible for achieving the forecast P&L (updated as necessary based on client changes)

Sales and Proposal Support (“New – Existing”)

  • Ability to reach across a client organization and discover new opportunities
  • Ability to be strategic from a technology perspective and engage in consultative relationships
  • Accurately estimates work effort and delivery timelines to support solution change management
  • Ability to assist with authoring functional and technical scope section related to change management

People Management and Mentoring

  • Identifies resource/technical needs and is able to construct case for acquiring the resource/technical need
  • Provides feedback to TSG capability leads regarding shared resource(s) performance
  • On-boards new resources by providing client specific solution information, processes, practices and client specific knowledge
  • Acknowledges and recognizes members of the team based on their contributions to the client and to Targetbase
  • Identifies struggling resources and proactively seeks to address performance issues either via coaching/mentoring or replacement
  • Ensures definition of roles and responsibilities across all team members involved with project
  • Acts as informal coach and mentor for resources on the account assisting them with career advice and growth as well as ways of being successful at Targetbase

Knowledge Sharing

  • Shares knowledge and understanding of Targetbase financial processes (billing, invoicing, financial planning, reporting , PO processes etc. at a client level)
  • Ensures that team understands Targetbase’s full service offerings

EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 7 years of experience successfully managing production clients
  • 5 years of experience successfully managing CRM technology deployments 

KNOWLEDGE & ABILITY

  • Strong client engagement skills including presentation skills, ability to think on his/her feet, and the ability to communicate technical messages effectively to non-technical audiences
  • Solid understanding of relational database concepts, exposure to SQL
  • Understanding of marketing technologies such as Unica, Adobe, or Salesforce Marketing Cloud
  • Ability to interface and provide feedback to Technology Solutions Group Capability Leaders and Thought Leaders on best practices and standards for a solution
  • Understanding of common IT offering (B/Us, Security, DR – Business Continuity, Infrastructure Support)
  • Understanding of CRM and Database marketing solutions

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

  • Overtime as necessary
  • Travel is required
  • We are a hybrid company working 3 days a week in office and 2 days a week at home.  Candidates must live in the Dallas/Ft Worth, TX area and willing to be in office on required days
