As the Director of Engineering, you will have the chance to continue growing and building a new, 13-person diverse engineering team. We support all Cleveland Clinic facilities worldwide as in-house technical experts. We work with Planning, Design and Construction as well as end users to deliver routine and world-class projects.
Our future vision for this department is for it to take a leading role in the preliminary development of projects of all sizes, to define the proper scope, schedule and budget as quickly and efficiently as possible. In this role, your primary duties will include:
• Analyzing and evaluating plans for existing and proposed buildings and systems to provide the highest quality and capability for mechanical, electrical, fire & life safety and other engineering systems.
• Working independently with state and local officials, regulators, insurers, and others in the effective execution of duties.
• Consulting with and leads engineers who design building infrastructure systems, plan, and develop projects, and oversee production and quality control.
• Providing guidance and recommendations to Facility Managers who coordinate production, operations, quality assurance, testing, or maintenance in the hospitals and other healthcare facilities.
