We are seeking a skilled Manufacturing Engineering Supervisor to lead our team of manufacturing engineers with a specific focus on CNC machined components. This role will involve overseeing and guiding the engineering team, developing and implementing standard processes and procedures, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in manufacturing engineering, leadership experience, and a commitment to excellence in production quality and efficiency.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of manufacturing engineers to achieve departmental goals and objectives.

  • Develop, document, and implement standard processes and procedures to ensure consistent and efficient manufacturing operations.

  • Oversee the development and implementation of manufacturing processes for machined components, including designing tooling and fixtures, creating and managing the manufacturing bill of materials (MBOM), and ensuring adherence to industry standards.

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives, including lean manufacturing practices, 5S, Value Stream Mapping (VSM), Kaizens, and Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI).

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and integration of engineering solutions with production needs.

  • Monitor and improve production quality, cost, and delivery metrics.

  • Manage resources, budgets, and schedules to ensure timely and efficient project completion.

  • Develop and implement training programs to enhance team capabilities and performance.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field with a minimum of 8 years of experience in manufacturing engineering.

  • A minimum of 3 years in a managerial or leadership role.

  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, tooling design, and GD&T.

  • Proven track record of developing and implementing standard processes and procedures.

  • Experience leading continuous improvement initiatives and driving operational excellence.

  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.

  • Must be a resident of the North Alabama area or willing to relocate to the Huntsville or north Alabama area.

  • Must be a US Citizen and possess or meet the eligibility to obtain (and be able to maintain) a Secret Clearance.

Preferred Qualifications

Preference shown to candidates who have experience and/or working knowledge of:

  • Experience with lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies.

  • Knowledge of ISO and AS9100 quality standards.

  • Familiarity with MES & ERP systems, particularly Solumina and Costpoint.

  • Advanced degree or certifications in lean manufacturing or Six Sigma.

Pay Range:

Pay Range $87,100.00 - $157,450.00
