We also use technology to drive efficient and timely processing, an essential component of great customer service.

You will be working as a part of Lending & Integrated Channels Technology to achieve their strategic objectives through planning, prioritising, delivering and supporting projects and initiatives. Your team’s success will be realised through partnering with business and IT teams across both Lending & Integrated Channels business domain and Technology to deliver beautiful experiences and exceptional capabilities to our branch applications

You will report to the Lead Software Engineer within Retail Technology.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Develop high quality software solutions with comprehensive test coverage.
Contribute to the technical design for system enhancements.
Implement features following the guidance of senior members of the team.
Provide technical assistance to non-technical members of the team.
Exhibit problem-solving mindset with focus on test automation
Work well with different team members whilst practicing knowledge sharing and T-shaping
Learn and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within own team
Take ownership of initiatives and assets and follow up to provide highest quality of customer service
Essential Skills:
Experience: 4+ years of industry experience in enterprise-level engineering, preferably in in high-volume transaction processing, API-oriented platforms.
Familiarity with API specification, design, registration and tooling (eg OpenAPI, Kong)
Expertise in event-driven architectures (Kafka, MQ) and orchestration (Apache Camel, Temporal, Mulesoft)
Experience in distributed, low latency environments.
Language orientation: Experience on C#, .NET Framework Core, essential. SOAP/REST APIs, Microservices and containerisation a plus. Node, Python and scripting knowledge useful
Soft skills: Excellent communication skills. Working experience with Agile methodologies.
Cloud: Experience on cloud migrations and deployment, with preference for AWS Cloud
Artificial Intelligence: Experience in AI technologies, particularly around tooling enhancements will be valued.
CI/CD: Familiarity with usage and configuration of fully automated pipelines is useful. This includes Github Actions, Artifactory and Cloudformation
Devops: Familiarity with devops-managed environments. Specifically around observability tools (Splunk, Grafana, Promethius, PagerDuty)
Test Automation: Unit/Integration/Acceptance/Performance testing experience in API.
Security: Defence in depth, including identity management, encryption and public cloud security obligations
·Databases: Relational databases (eg Postgres / Oracle), as well as data warehousing and No-SQL databases (MongoDB).
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering in Computer Science/Information Technology
