Position Summary...

What you'll do...

As a Senior Manager in Merchandising Operations – Supplier Excellence with a specific focus on Problem Freight, you will be at the forefront of managing end-to-end supply chain processes, ensuring the seamless flow of merchandise through our distribution network and fulfillment centers.

What you’ll do…

  • Direct resolutions and respond to escalations of daily issues.
  • Analyze data from multiple stakeholders to streamline and improve network efficiencies and provide data for the supplier compliance process flow.
  • Research and analyze the root cause of daily and escalated exceptions concerning shipping, receiving, inventory, and return-related issues.
  • Conduct performance reviews of the merchandising department, distribution centers, and suppliers.
  • Lead a team of resolution specialists that drive ticket resolution and respond to escalations of daily issues.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee External Relationships: Serve as the main point of contact for external partners, communicate expectations and agreements, consolidate and communicate relevant findings, lead audit processes, utilize quarterly scorecards, and assist senior leadership with the selection of service providers.
  • Improve Supply Chain Execution: Approve flow path channels from supplier to store, collaborate with supply chain stakeholders, track the movement and arrival of goods, present recommendations, identify order exceptions, and develop and coordinate resolutions.
  • Drive Field-Level Direction: Provide guidance for the execution of operations, supervise the liaison for the field, communicate operational expectations, and address performance-related issues with stakeholders.
  • Direct Supply Chain Flow Process Improvement: Contribute to the design, development, and delivery of new ways of working, prioritize product flow plan objectives, manage the correction of errors processes, identify areas of opportunity, support end-to-end costing methodology, provide cost recommendations, and review and analyze the impact and benefits to internal processes.
  • Drive Business Plans and Projects: Identify customer and operational needs, develop and communicate business plans and priorities, remove barriers and obstacles, provide resources, identify performance standards, measure progress, develop contingency plans, and support continuous learning.
  • Supervise and Develop Associates: Select and train associates, mentor, assign duties, build a team-based work environment, establish performance expectations, conduct regular performance evaluations, provide recognition and rewards, coach for success and improvement, and ensure diversity awareness.
  • Ensure Business Needs are Met: Evaluate the ongoing effectiveness of current plans, programs, and initiatives, consult with business partners, managers, co-workers, or other key stakeholders, solicit, evaluate, and apply suggestions for
  • Business Reporting:  Gathering and analyzing data from various sources.   Developing and presenting clear and concise reports that summarize findings and recommendations for leadership review. Ensuring that all reports are accurate, complete, and in compliance with Walmart's code of conduct and other relevant policies.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ability to write SQL statements, use report writing software (Powerbi/Tableau), and basic technical skills
  • Previous General Merchandise Operations Experience

The annual salary range for this position is $90,000.00-$180,000.00

Minimum Qualifications...

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business, or related field and 4 years’ experience in logistics, distribution, transportation, or related
area OR 6 years’ experience in logistics, distribution, transportation, or related area.
2 years’ experience with advanced functionality of Microsoft Office.
